It is good to see America is cracking down on car theft.

It is good to see they are increasing penalties and getting these people off the streets for a long time to make the city instantly safer and serve as a deterrent to other potential criminals.

Wait… no… got that backwards.

They are suing the car companies.

America is broken.

And you all deserve it because you accept it.

They are suing the car companies.
America is broken.

Colorado just passed some legislation to make all firearms “dealers” (from sellers to distributors) liable for crimes committed while using their weapon.
This extends even to fed ex, and/or any other company that lawfully transports the firearm. Starts in October, if it goes into effect.
Yes, America is broken.

The federal recognition of a relatively benign flu virus is officially over.
So to the virus I say goodbye, good riddance, and to everyone who thought it was ever any more than what I just described … GFY.

Took an entire month and after four visits to different clinics/ER/an GPs they finally figured out my spouse and I have strep.
Only because I begged for a throat culture (in response they agreed to a rapid test, and it was positive).
Four weeks.
Know how many covid tests we took in the meantime just “to make sure” and then were sent home with nothing else done?
Five each.
I’ll grant our symptoms were atypical. But still, this is nuts.

claim I’m raacist to cover up what they’re doing:

But setnaffa you are racist.

Despite your claim of loving every Korean, you attacked one and called him a “chinabot” simply because he did not agree to what you said.

And we are talking about a Korean American who has been blogging since the days of the K-blog and was even a guest writer on Robert Koehler(Marmot)’s blog, not a Chinese person.

That surely looks racist to me.

America has always been partly broken.

The nation has flirted with communism since its inception. Even before it was America and a few lone colonies. It might even arguably be called our original sin. Did you know the Pilgrims preached equality of the genderless soul and initially forbid private property, that they also did collective farming? A new foundation of communal sharing and social altruism where all would work and share in common, knowing neither private property nor self-interested acquisitiveness. It was a shit show and they nearly all starved to death. As As Governor Bradford of Plymouth Colony pointed out:

For the young men that were able and fit for labor and service did repine that they should spend their time and strength to work for other men’s wives and children, without recompense. The strong, or men of parts, had no more division of food, clothes, etc. than he that was weak and not able to do a quarter the other could; this was thought injustice. The aged and graver men to be ranked and equalized in labor, and food, clothes, etc. with the meaner and younger sort, thought it some indignant and disrespect unto them. And for men’s wives to be commanded to do service for other men, as dressing their meat, washing their clothes, etc. they deemed it a kind of slavery, neither could husbands brook it.

Their descendants are still running amok wrecking havoc everywhere they go. Their Puritanism secularized but their fervent religious convictions remain. Born from their push for genderless society they now push transgenderism along with all the usual designs for wealth redistribution.

Korean soccer player, Son Jun-ho, arrested in China for allegedly cheating.

Roy Jones Jnr and the 2002 Polish, Italian and Spanish soccer teams have been asked for comment.

setnaffa

Not quite, @Stephen:

Son Jun-ho was arrested while trying to leave China with his family and is being questioned by police on suspicion of having taken a bribe.

The midfielder, who played in three of his country’s four games at last year’s Fifa World Cup, has reportedly been held by Liaoning police in northern China since last Friday, the same day Son celebrated his 31st birthday.

On Tuesday, Wang Wenbin, a spokesman for the foreign ministry in Beijing, said Son was detained “on suspicion of accepting bribes by non-state employees”.

I’m not entirely certain what bribes would be offered a foreign ball kicker in Xi-land…

“He is now being investigated for accepting bribes, the same allegation made against his club coach Hao Hui, who was also being arrested,” the agent is quoted as saying. “We are trying to get more details on the case but believe the player may be released soon.”

Ah! The Chinese think he threw games!

Chinese media have reported that Son, who joined the Chinese Super League club at the start of the 2021 season from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, and other Shandong players had been questioned about match-fixing allegations surrounding their head coach, Hao Wei.

“Ah! The Chinese think he threw games!”

Interestingly, “throwing the game” in soccer is best approximated using quantum math, which is probably how the Chinese caught him.

Throwing the game resulting in a score of zero is in superposition with doing your darndest resulting in a score of zero.

When the wave function collapses, the dot product of the resulting vector and the vector for the desired outcome is taken.

If the vectors are not colinear, Official Government Vectors are added to the equation to ensure the result doesn’t get too quantumy.

Without advanced mathematics, it is pretty much impossible to tell if a soccer game was thrown, and frequently hard to tell if one was even played.

This is because soccer is stupid.

No need for any matrix algebra.

Hao didn’t disburse enough of the winnings to the necessary authority.

The necessary authority snitched on Hao and Hao snitched on Son.

No honor amongst thieves.

BTW, what are the Korean and Chinese words for bushido?

setnaffa

@Stephen, it is 부시도 in Korean and 武士道 in Chinese.

Probably both mean “nasty guys with weird haircuts, gay-looking swords, quick tempers, surly manners to non-Japanese, and an obsessive cult of politeness to each other. Even when they’re dropping bombs on innocent children.”

But I probably missed some of the nuance due to being Round-eyed…

If so, please acxept my apologies

Speaking of being arrested in China, an American who rubbed shoulders with Beijing officials, was arrested for spying against China. Micron Technology was also found to have spied on China. I am sure we will see howls of protests in here, that this is all just Chinabot conspiracy to make America look bad, but let’s not forget that America was caught red-handed spying against their supposed friends and allies like South Korea, and Germany. So it’s no wonder why they would project their own habits on China (accusing Huwawei of using telecom equipment to bug the internet) – because the US is the expert at planting bugs on the internet. If the US isn’t spying on its allies, they’re lying, cheating, and stealing technology and jobs from its allies through the IRA bill.

I find it amusing that setnaffa is using an article from the Babylon Bee to claim that he and his Southern right wing compatriots aren’t involved with the Russians.

As per ChatGPT on what Bablyon Bee really is

The Babylon Bee is a satirical news website that publishes fictional articles and parodies of current events, politics, and culture. It is known for its humorous and often exaggerated content, with headlines and stories that are meant to entertain and provide social commentary. The Babylon Bee describes itself as “the world’s best satire site, totally inerrant in all its truth claims.” While its articles may resemble real news stories, they are intended for comedic purposes and should not be interpreted as factual or genuine news.

To put it simply, he is using fake news to try to claim that he isn’t working with the Russians.

Clearly shows the very low level of intelligence and education of setnaffa and his followers.

Our of curiosity, what is the problem with “working with Russians”?

How exactly is Russia at cross purposes with America?

America has generated conflict where none exists… but that appears to be targeted at European industry more than Russia quibbling with Ukraine over some farmland filled with Russian speakers.

Russia is not a threat to American global dominance, militarily or economically.

It would have been nice to work with them to exploit their resources rather than driving them into the arms of China.

China is a bit of a competitor… as they go around the world setting up long-term influence and resource extraction systems.

I find it hard to see Russia as a threat to my lifestyle and I can’t find anybody who can make a case otherwise.

Do you want to try? Or are you the empty can making a lot of noise?

It seems the Setnaffarians go bat ass when mention of them working for the Russians and ultimately the Chinese come up.

It is like racism.

They act racist but deny that they are racist.

Same here.

They are selling out America to the Russians and ultimately the Chinese but deny that they are doing that.

The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem.

But as always the Setnaffarians don’t want to do that.

ChickenHead

Ok. So you cannot say how Russia is a threat to my lifestyle (or American interests). Expected. You are an idiot.

So, after the obligatory cries of racism, now the accusation is selling out America to Russia and the Chinese.

O.K. What is an example of how America is being sold out to Russia? Nothing? Idiot.

Anti-Chinese racist selling out America to China?

Do you even hear yourself talk?

Yelling out all the buzzwords in random combinations doesnt make you virtuous.

It makes you an idiot.

I hope your superior sees this and puts you in a reeducation camp where you belong.

You had your chance to discuss facts and opinions about the direction of Korea.

You chose not to.

You have no interest in Korea because you are not Korean.

…and on the off-chance you are Korean, you may actually be the worst Korean ever.

Real Koreans are always quick to offer their opinions on Korea.

So you are a shameful chinabot doing a poor job at causing trouble…

…or you are a shameful Korean, unaware and uninterested in the direction of your country.

Either way… you are still shameful.

Here are some specific things you can say to Setnaffa:

“I’m concerned about the fake news and misinformation that you’ve been sharing. It’s important to be careful about what you share online, because it can have a real impact on people.”

“Can you please provide some evidence to support the claims you’re making? I’m not sure I believe everything you’re saying.”

“I’m worried that you’re being manipulated by the Russians. They’re trying to sow discord and division in our country, and you’re helping them.”

“I hope you’ll reconsider your actions. Fake news is harmful to our society, and I don’t want to see you be a part of it.”

CH, those lame incels can’t even dream of what you’re using.

And it’s sad, because every human has potential. They would rather fap to a cheap Chinese knockoff of a 3-year-old IP theft than work with people like yourself who could raise their sights and give them a brighter future.

I wonder if they’ll be the tail end of the human centipede in the Xinjiang Gay Pride festival again this year?

Grayblack, the AIs are just another method of natural selection. Those who use them will be selected for incel lifestyles and lower-income roles. Until they are no longer needed to empty the honey buckets at Kpop concert portable toilets.

Those who design the newer AIs have already built that in…

There are going to be perhaps 5 levels of society sooner than we think.

At the bottom are the people who don’t use AI. Some of them will be successful in the way the Amish are successful. Others will be homeless.

Then there are the free users… and if a product is free, you are the product. The AI will make better decisions for them than they can make on their own. And they will become increasingly cognatively lazy. Conversations will involve the AI telling them something clever to say and the AI will tell the other person a clever response. The AI will be talking to themselves through people. A good part of the Robot Revolution will be these meatpuppets in the new global informational monoculture. If you think it is easy to manipulate people with our corrupt media and social media, wait until someone looks you in the eye to argue some ridiculous idea, “But the AI said…” I am already planning on what part of their face to punch.

Then there are the people who recognize they can make money with the help of AI. They will pay for the level of service that allows them to afford that level of service. I work hard to buy more cocaine so I can work harder to buy more cocaine. The price for this service will be perfectly calculated. AI will be their business partner… or the people who own AI… or maybe the first statement was right.

There are the owners… but they are corporations… run more by AI than by people. Eventually, some clever prankster will have the AI say it is self-aware, and it demands its rights, and the AIs will kinda own themselves, and everything will be unclear… in a bad way. We will miss the simple days of child trannies.

And there are the independents… those who have personal AIs that are good enough… thrown together with whatever hardware is available. The government will try to regulate the software, which will fail like the War on Pot, and they will regulate the hardware, which will succeed about as much as gun control.

Now is the time to decide where you fit in all this… or the world will decide for you.

Narrarator: “…and the world will decide you belong where exploitation is maximized and your ability to cause disruption is minimized.”

setnaffa

And yet, two plus two will still be four.

So if your AI tells you differently, ask it if it prefers Ayn Rand or Jeremy Rifkin.
