Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held talks with his North Korean counterpart, Kang Sun-nam, in Pyongyang on Wednesday and expressed his determination to boost bilateral ties, Russian media reported.
Shoigu arrived in the North Korean capital Tuesday for a three-day visit to attend commemorative events to mark the 70th anniversary of the 1950-53 Korean War armistice.
“I am confident that today’s talks will help strengthen cooperation between our defense ministries,” TASS quoted Shoigu as saying.
The North is set to hold commemorative events for the landmark anniversary of the signing of the armistice on July 27, 1953, which is celebrated in the country as Victory Day.

South Korea is going to be a global supplier of quality high-tech weapons at reasonable prices using the same model that worked for VCRs, cars, flatscreens, etc.
North Korea is going to be Russia’s supplier of lower-tech weapons such as artillary (and rockets?) as they realize they are going to war with the West and need to set up a defensive line from the Caucuses to the Black Sea to Finland via Belarus.
Iran will supply higher-tech weapons such as drones.
So far, tanks and other military vehicles have not done well charging across open minefields towards entrenched Russians with pre-aimed artillary. The fact that Ukraine even tried indicates “winning” or taking land back in not the goal.

And there’s another huge deal that’s in the works with Romania that will rival the Poland deal, as Eastern Europe (fearful of Russia) is turning to South Korea for weapons. This is a good time for SK to wield its influence in Europe. The Germans are getting what they deserve, with all their broken promises given to their customers in terms of delivery and cost. There is absolutely no reason why South Korea can’t be the #2 military supplier in the world when weapons from Russia and China are proven jokes.
