Israel-Hamas Conflict Expected to Divert Attention from North Korea Nuclear Issue
If North Korea conducts a nuclear test getting international attention seems to be reason why they would do it, not a food crisis as the ROK government is speculating. A nuclear test may also be something done in coordination with Iran to divert U.S. resources from the Middle East as Iran continues to use its proxies there to wage war on Israel and Sunni Arab states:
The reigniting of the Israel-Hamas conflict, coupled with Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine, could shift the United States’ attention further away from North Korea’s nuclear quandary, analysts said Tuesday.
The conflict flared up following the Palestinian militant group’s deadly surprise attack on Israel on Saturday, as Washington’s stated commitment to diplomacy with Pyongyang has fallen on deaf years amid the North’s unceasing drive for nuclear armament.
President Joe Biden pledged “full support” for Israel. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin deployed the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) Carrier Strike Group to the Eastern Mediterranean while Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed the U.S.’ “solidarity” with Israel.
The U.S.’ apparent reapportioning of diplomatic and security resources for conflicts in the Middle East and Eastern Europe has raised speculation that it would be harder for the U.S. to pay more attention to addressing the North Korean conundrum.

If anybody thinks Israel was “surprised”, they haven’t been paying attention to Israel’s competency in these matters.
This was allowed to happen so the response could happen… and it is… and they deserve it.
Hamas could attack all the military bases and police stations, and everyone the world over would be “I stand with The Thing¹”.

Mr Trump hasn’t a single complaint about Israel taking America for the ride, as Trump and his cohorts always accuse other countries like South Korea.
Now that Israel is at war, America is pumping into Israel, more money and weapons, as well as shipping tons of ammunition (much of them ‘borrowed’ from South Korea) to Israel. As that BBC chart shows, Israel is the number one economic and military aid recipient of the US, bar none. Yet not a single grumblings from the US far-right about how Israel is supposedly taking the US for a ride, and that Israel should pay for what they supposedly stole from America.
The ironic part of it all is that the Trumpeans like to take swipes at South Korea for misusing American troops/firepower, and stealing US jobs and industries, if it weren’t for South Korea, the US wouldn’t be able to support Israel nor Ukraine to wage wars. For instance, South Korea produces 300,000 artillery ammo per month, compared to the US production of only 30,000 per month. Sooner or later, the US will have to go take off their hat and visit South Korea for donations. Not to mention South Korea spending $300 billion on American soil, building high-tech factories, and employing millions of Americans. I don’t see any other country that is even coming close to what the SK has done, at the expense of its own people who are asked to bear a very heavy economic burden including thousands of job losses, for the sake of American economic and military interests, in the last couple of years.
Now the Trump administration leading in the polls, is now incoming. That’s going to be fun to see when the Yoon idiot is totally exposed as the incompetent a-hole that gave America everything for absolutely nothing in return.
