Itaewon Sees as Somber Halloween Weekend One Year After Crowd Crushing Tragedy

South Koreans avoided boisterous Halloween celebrations Saturday, the eve of the country marking one year after the deadly crowd crush in Seoul’s Itaewon district that claimed 159 lives, with people mourning the death of the victims.
The crowd crush, the deadliest ever in South Korea, took place in the nightlife district of Itaewon on Oct. 29, 2022, a Saturday night when about 100,000 people flocked to the area for Halloween celebrations.
Late Saturday, Seoul’s crowded entertainment areas, including Itaewon and Hongdae, were bustling with citizens and foreign tourists, just like any ordinary weekend, but there seemed to be no uproarious Halloween celebrations.
“I used to enjoy Halloween parties, but I’ve decided to spend this year’s Halloween quietly due to last year’s accident. I think it would be difficult to enjoy Halloween in Itaewon,” said Kim Hyung-seok, 28, who visited Itaewon with his girlfriend.

We’ve all seen the BS from CH about Yoon “saving and looking out for Korean small businesses.”
Had Yoon and his cronies taken a more active role last Halloween, the tragedy could have been prevented.
Also, people wouldn’t have avoided the small businesses in Itaewon, which means that the small business owners wouldn’t be worrying about whether or not they would stay in business.
But thanks to Yoon’s incompetence, people are avoiding Itaewon and the small businesses there, resulting in a drop in revenues for the small businesses.
So, Yoon did more to harm small businesses in Itaewon, which means that Yoon isn’t for Korean small businesses.
This proves that CH’s claims that Yoon is for Korean small businesses are pure BS.
It turns out there is a difference between watching small business getting harmed because so many people had less sense than you thought possible…
…and intentionally harming small business by making unnecessary covid restrictions (that didn’t apply equally to big business).
You either don’t know that, and you are stupid.
Or you do know that, and you just act stupid.
Stupid or malicious? I think the latter.
