Because of the Yoon government’s recent action to allow plastic straws, it seems that companies that make paper straws which are small businesses will be forced out of business.
So much for Chicken Head’s claim that Yoon is all for Korean small businesses.

Paper straw companies deserve to go out of business. Then the owners should be covered in high fructose corn syrup and fed to some kind of horrifying African insect to serve as a warning to others.
Yoon’s popularity just went up with anyone who has ever used a paper straw.

Actually, read the reason for unbanning single use items and let’s start this conversation over again.
EVERYONE who has had certain types of oral surgeries requires straws. Not everyone can use metal or hard plastic straws, as these may cause injuries. And paper straws don’t usually survive even medium drinks.
AND, since China provides 99.9 percent of all garbage tossed into the world’s oceans, asshats and other chinabots should just sit back and keep their top hole shut.

Have to wonder about the chemicals they put on the inside of those paper straws to make them temporarily water resistant. I’m sure as the straw decomposes during use, the person is ingesting it.

I realize plastic straws don’t decompose but at least my holders are a renewable resource that are fully biodegradable.
These behaviors are forbidden by the Justice Ministry’s guidelines for protecting human rights while enforcing immigration laws. The guidelines prohibit abusive language, brutal treatment and discriminatory behavior against non-Koreans during law enforcement. They also state that female officers should as a rule be present when non-Korean foreigners are being apprehended.
Well, considering that Yoon’s goons don’t treat even the Koreans as humans, is it any surprise they would treat foreigners with respect?

Let’s see if Yoon vetos the yellow envelope labor bill.
If he does, it favors small and medium business. If he does not, it favors labor.
My expectation is the decision not to ideological. It will be a practical response to maintain the balance between labor and management.
Labor is a bunch of animals. Short-term thinkers who will loot the company for immediate gain if given their way. They need to be leashed and caged.
Management is a bunch of predators who will butcher and eat labor if they can, get another batch, and eat them too.
One of the jobs of just government is to maintain a balance between labor and management so the system doesn’t move too close to exploitive neo-feudalism on one end or looting communism on the other.
Narrarator: But by the mid 2020s, most of the developed world was moving toward neo-feudalism AND communism with the erosion of the middle class. The productive class was kept as wage slaves while the non-productive class was kept dependent on public funds
Well, I wouldn’t call this discrimination, when the Korean government hasn’t done anything for the Korean victims either, other than paint them as drug abusers and communist agitators for celebrating Halloween in a popular district.

The theme seems to be “But why didn’t the government take care of me?”
Government should do a lot of things to take care of people in ways they cannot take care of themselves.
Running a military, ensuring clean water, putting out fires, building bridges… government can do a lot of good.
It is unclear if it is a government duty to tell people when a crowd is too crowded.
Somewhere there is a line between taking care of people and promoting helplessness and dependence.
This feels like it is on the “You didn’t see this coming?” side of the line.

What right does any person have to compel a stranger to provide food, shelter, healthcare, education, or respect?
If I illegally enter another country–for any reason–are the citizens of that country obligated to do anything for me? Why or why not? What is China’s policy? What about Syria? Russia? Mexico?
If I claim to be homeless, are the citizens of my own nation obligated to pay for me? Why or why not? What is China’s policy? What about Syria? Russia? Mexico?
What is “International Law” in this regard? How is it enforced?

Hamas went to Israel, killed over 1400, mostly women and children, then ducked back behind their women and children and asked for a ceasefire.
However, they’ve launched over 9500 rockets and continue to launch. So they mean a ceasefire for Israel only.
They killed 30 Americans. They raped at least one German girl so badly it broke her legs and she died. Then they dragged her body down the street behind a motorcycle.
Burn Gaza to the ground. Then plow salt into the rubble. Then bomb it again.

Philip Ahn (born Pillip Ahn (안필립), March 29, 1905 – February 28, 1978) was an American actor and activist of Korean descent. With over 180 film and television credits between 1935 and 1978, he was one of the most recognizable and prolific Asian-American character actors of his time. He is widely regarded as the first Korean American film actor in Hollywood. He is not to be confused with Philson Ahn, another screen actor who broke into films in the late 1930s; Philson was Philip’s younger brother.
The son of Korean independence activist Ahn Changho, Philip Ahn was a longtime advocate for his father’s legacy and the Korean-American community, helping to establish memorials to his father in his native Seoul and later arranging for his remains to be buried there.
