Handbag Scandal Drops President Yoon’s Approval Rating By 5 Points in One Week

Even though Korea’s First Lady was setup to create a political scandal, she should not have accepted the handbag and that is what President Yoon should have stated shortly after this whole issue erupted:

President Yoon Suk Yeol is facing mounting pressure to clarify his stance regarding the revelation of an alleged graft case involving first lady Kim Keon Hee.

A Gallup Korea’s poll on Friday showed that 63 percent of South Korean people disapproved of Yoon’s performance in the fourth week of January, up 5 percentage points from the week before.

Yoon’s disapproval rating has hit its highest point in nine months since April 2023, when his remarks suggested that the past during Japan’s colonial occupation of the Korean Peninsula in the early 20th century, including forced labor conscription, should be left behind. His approval rating also came to 31 percent, his lowest in three months.

Controversy surrounding Kim’s alleged breach of the Improper Solicitations Act, and Yoon’s poor communication with the public, were two of the three major reasons respondents to a recent poll gave for their disapproval of Yoon’s performance, along with high costs of living.

Expensive purses are like red Kryptonite for Korean women…

“Controversy surrounding Kim’s alleged breach of the Improper Solicitations Act, and Yoon’s poor communication with the public, were two of the three major reasons respondents to a recent poll gave for their disapproval of Yoon’s performance, along with high costs of living.”

The bag is only a big deal if you need to justify your hate for Yoon… much like those who love Biden don’t see his shameless corruption, primarily though his son, while those who dislike Biden think he should be impeached because Hunter likes drugs and hoes.

Poor communications in public is the same thing. When you can’t find anything serious, you complain about mean tweets.

The high cost of living, however is a problem. It is a problem created by Moon and the lefty anti-nationalist globalists like him throughout the world. But Yoon is stuck with it and it is not an easy problem to solve.

This disapproval for Yoon is pretty suspect. These are not issues with the level of seriousness that gets such low poll numbers.

Considering his approval numbers were suddenly low early in his administration before he had a chance to do anything good and when he had done nothing bad, it would seem these polls are dishonest. Presidents always maintain a level of popularity until they screw up.

He has done nothing spectacular. But he has done nothing terrible. That makes him a better-than-average politician.

From ChickenHead’s comment, it is obvious that to the Setnaffarians it is OK for right-wingers to be corrupt and get away with it but it is not OK for leftists to be corrupt and the leftists should be held accountable for any alleged corruption.

Of course, such hypocrisy and a not-well-thought-out way of thinking are the hallmarks of dumb poorly educated right-wingers.

They also need it to be that way because it is in their interest that Yoon serves out his five-year term which ensures that the USFK stays in Korea forever.

Maybe the Setnaffarians can do themselves a favor and cease putting up dumb comments.

But on the other hand, Setnaffarians shooting themselves in the foot is amusing to watch.

The Ching Chong ChatBot has its temperature set too high and is hallucinating.

It is stringing real words together and the grammar follows the rules, but it isn’t communicating actual ideas.

Is there a number for tech support?

Can we turn it off and back ooooaaa… wait a minute. Can we just turn it off?

Ching Chong ChatBot

Ah yes, reverting to racial attacks, are we?

Racial attacks to cover up the fact that they have no logical counterargument are the hallmark of the dumb right-wing Setnaffarian.

It’s predictable reactions like this that make it easy for us Koreans to launch counterattacks against the Setnaffarians and defeat them.

It is hard to know if “The Ching Chong ChatBot” is making fun of the Chinese nationality, which is composed of 56 officially recognized ethnic groups, or if it is making fun of the Chinese language which is spoken by all sorts of people.

You empower real racists by calling everyone who teases you a racist.

Ah yes, one can clearly see the talking style of setnaffa in ChickenHead’s recent rants.

No doubt, ChickenHead is the sockpuppet of setnaffa.

Same with the anti-Korean American rants of Grey Black which reflects the anti-Korean American stance of setnaffa.

I collectively call setnaffa and his sockpuppets Setnaffarians.

Once you think about it, the only reason that the ROK Drop has so much activity is because of setnaffa and his sockpuppets.

setnaffa alone is certainly outnumbered by us Koreans, which means he has to resort to sockpuppets to make it look like he outnumbers us.

But we all know the truth.

It is also sad that the ROK Drop has to depend on a miserable old man and his sockpuppets to keep relevant.

What’s the deal with these hillbillies expressing their frustration by targeting Chinese people?

It seems like they perceive us as their adversaries, blaming us for their problems.

Instead of pointing fingers, perhaps they should introspect and recognize that their own actions may be contributing to their problems.

Those hillbillies surely need to reflect on themselves before unfairly placing blame on others.

The wife of a president receives a 2200 dollar bag and it makes headline news? Guess she should have made a book deal instead and banked millions upon millions of dollars completely unrelated to sales like Michele Obama.

Perhaps she should have made some “art” for anonymous collectors to “buy” like Hunter Biden.

The bag isn’t a huge asset and has limited real-world value, so without an associated official benefit tied to it, I’m not going to get worked up about it.

It is more on the level of diplomacy people engage in to stay in favor. I spent about $2500 last year in whiskey as gifts to stay in the good memories of people. I have no expectation of anything in return except I may call on them some day for a favor that is effortless to them and will be far more valuable than the 50 to 100 dollars invested now.

But if I was in the position of first lady my policy would be, “I am sorry, I don’t accept gifts at this time.”

But realistically, even if I complete my transistion, what’s my chance of hooking up with a guy who is presidential material?

Of course, you won’t get worked up about it.

You need to keep Yoon in power and thus the USFK in Korea forever.

It wouldn’t look good if you get worked up about it even considering she broke the law and showed Korea and the rest of the world that she’s corrupt and an airhead to boot.

Guess she should have made a book deal instead

Liz, liz, or setnaffa

Yes, it would have been better if she made a book deal instead.

A book deal would have come after the Presidency and would have been a lot more lucrative than a Dior bag.

But alas, being corrupt, weak, and an airhead, she couldn’t resist a free Dior bag, and accepted the gift, breaking Korean laws governing gift receiving for higher-ups and putting her husband and his party in a precarious position.
