President Yoon’s Approval Rating Rises to 39.2%

Normally a 39.2% approval rating would be a bad thing, but for President Yoon it is actually a sign of improvement:

President Yoon Suk Yeol’s approval rating rose slightly to 39.2 percent from a week earlier, a survey showed Monday.

According to the Realmeter survey, the positive assessment of Yoon’s performance rose 1.9 percentage points from the week earlier, while the negative assessment fell 1.7 percentage points.

The rise can be attributable to favorable assessment of a series of policies announced last week, such as a plan to expand afterschool programs at elementary schools and a decision to significantly increase the number of medical school seats.

The rise can also be attributable to 1.7% of the voters tiring of interference in politics by Christian pastors.

e.g. The Christian pastor who tried to entrap Yoon’s wife by secretly videoing (몰카) his gifting of a Dior bag to Kim Keon-hee.
