South Korea Plans to Purchase Polish Attack Drones
Drones are now an extremely important part of modern warfare and the ROK military is planning to purchase some of the most combat proven systems:

The South Korean military is set to purchase Polish loitering munitions within this year, a move experts believe will significantly bolster the nation’s ability to counter North Korea’s purported suicide drones. The Polish drones, proven effective on the battlefield in Ukraine against Russian forces, could be a game changer in airborne warfare, analysts said.
According to military sources, Tuesday, the Ministry of National Defense recently submitted a request to acquire military drones to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), which is now preparing to announce the bid.

This is pathetic. South Korea doesn’t need Polish drones. Doesn’t need anything Poland makes, in fact. This is a trade-off that the stupid South Korean government is willing to make, to convince the Polish (who are demanding South Korea buy more Polish goods) to sign the purchase of the next batch of K2 tanks which have been delayed due to the Polish government ho-humming, complaining that they’re getting short-changed. Why continue to give concessions after concessions to every country SK deals with? Enough is enough.
On the contrary, this is a wise choice that will encourage Poland to buy more RoK military gear…

Careful KM, you’re starting to sound like a Korean Trump with all this crazy talk about trade concessions.
Joking aside, this is good for Korea. They get battle tested weapons which they will study and learn from to create their own. Normally it takes suffering hard, bloody lessons to learn what works and does not work, but as it turns out the Poles (and now the Koreans) have outsourced the suffering to the Ukrainians. Next thing you’ll know the Koreans will be selling drones to everyone.
