Worked better than what is going on now; worked better than the sunshine policy that cost South Korea $500,000,000 so KDJ could get a Nobel prize but resulted in jump starting nK nuclear program…..

What’s this?

FlyingSword now he thinks that Trump shouldn’t have listened to Bolton and not walked away from a deal with KJI in Hanoi?

Why the change in heart I wonder?

If I was the SK, I’d rather pay the $500K than paying Trump $10 billion as his latest demand is now.

Trump says S. Korea would pay $10 bil. per year for USFK stationing if he was in office

I already predicted this months ago. Cutting deals with unstable governments who won’t stick to promises, is the worst thing you can do.

I’m curious, Korea Man.

In that interview with Trump, please list the things he said that were untrue.

Still waiting, Korea Man, for you to list the things Trump said that weren’t true.

If you cannot do this, you can sit in the back of the Loud but Dumb Bus World Tour 2024-2025 with Stephen.

Let’s examine all the lies.

Lie #1: “We have 40,000 combat troops right now and we’re getting paid nothing”.

Fact: First of all, you have 28,000 troops, certainly not “40,000 or 50,000 troops”, so quit lying. And only a small portion are combat soldiers. And certainly not true that you’re getting nothing. You’re getting free land to do your training, free infrastructure, free labor, free bases, and you get to project power in Asia, as well as keep Korea as one of your buffer states, so as not to endanger Hawaii from Chinese military influence. That is not exactly “nothing”.

————————-

Lie #2: “They were very happy to pay the $ 5 billion and the money was rolling in, but then Biden came along and canceled it all”.

Fact: South Korea never agreed to the $5 billion, and sent an official to Trump, suggesting the US side, how about pulling out 12,000 US troops? Trump became livid and was ready to pull out of Korea completely. Then his men talked him out of that, delaying the pullout until the next election was over. But Biden won the election and he extracted 13.9% increase – which is well above the average rate of increase that South Korea gave to the US since 1991, which is 8%.

————————-

Lie #3: “They are a money machine”.

Fact: South Korea is not a money machine for the US. It’s not an ATM cash machine for the US to dip into, every time the US needs cash. The money is South Korean people’s tax money – it’s not there to fund some American president’s personal ego. Nor are the funds for creating American people’s jobs in America, nor is it there for raising American people’s living standards.

————————-

Lie #4: “They are our enemy”.

Fact: This is one factor that wasn’t used to be true. But now that he has said this against South Korea, and you have lot of American supporters cheering him on and agreeing with him, the US and SK are now enemies – in my book, same as in your book.

————————-

Lie #5: “They took our computer industry, and they took our shipping industry”.

Fact: Nobody took anything from you. Stop whining with false accusations that denigrate other nations for the successes that they achieved through individual citizen efforts and industrial foresight to institute economic policies that nurtured successful industries. It was the US that was the leader in pushing for Globalism. It was the US that advocated for “Free Trade”. It was the US that encouraged multi-country companies to set up manufacturing centers in developing countries including China. Remember, the US also claimed that “if we open up China through trade, China will have its prosperous middle-class Chinese to rise up and demand democracy, and China will eventually become another South Korea”. So what happened to that dream, you Americans had claimed? Quit your whining and quit blaming other countries for the problems you created yourselves.

————————-
Lie #6: “The US has no business defending Ukraine”.

Fact: Here’s a bonus that I am just throwing in for free. The US has the duty to guarantee Ukraine’s sovereignty. Why? Because the US signed the international document that said it would guarantee Ukraine’s right to exist when it gave up its nukes in 1991. If Ukraine had not listened to the US lies, they would not be in the same position as they are in today. Russia’s attack on Ukraine is totally the US’s fault – 100% US fault. You signed the contract, now you’re saying you’re not responsible for? F-ck you. This is why what Yoon signed in front of Biden last year, is worth the same as the toilet paper. The US doesn’t honor anything they sign and promise. In that regard, they are in the same boat as China.

#1 – He is incorrect by saying 40,000. Is it a lie? Maybe. Maybe not. Is America getting paid “nothing”. Relative to the benefit, yes. If he had said, “We are getting paid peanuts,” would you have believed literal peanuts?

#2 – Was Korea “very happy” to pay 5 billion? Probably not. Did Korea pay 5 billion. No. Korea did agree to a one year extension with a double digit increase. Would they have paid 5 billion if Trump had a second term? Unlikely. But Trump has a long history of demanding 5 billion, and settling for the 2 billion he actually wanted. The other party thinks they walked away with a win. Your lack of pattern recognition makes you misunderstand the world.

#3 – Korea is a money machine. Despite lack of resources, it is full of smart people with a supportive government, a success-oriented culture, and a lack of distractive unstrengthening diversity. Korea creates wealth. Korea manipulates the currency and puts up non-tariff trade barriers to ensure it keeps it. Now, Korea is taking what it learns from the American military and competing with America by supplying low-cost, high quality military equipment.

#4 – You misunderstand because you choose to misunderstand. Korea is not America’s geopolitical enemy. Korea is America’s trade enemy… with cars, semiconductors, ships, military equipment, etc. Well-done, Korea.

#5 – You and Trump are both right. Korea took all that from America because America gave it to Korea with misguided globalist and neo-liberal programs lapped up by both bought-off Republicans and Democrats (for different reasons). Apart from the Moon disaster, Korea has been looking out for Korea instead of multinationals and the globalist agenda. Unfortunately, traditional Korean companies are now all multinationals and they are no longer really looking out for Korea. Producing military equipment might save Korea for a time, as there is no expectation for Korean arms companies to become truly multinationals.

#6 – Trump is 100% right. America has no business defending Ukraine.

Let’s look at the agreement from the 1990s.

“It refers to assurances, but unlike guarantees, it does not impose a legal obligation of military assistance on its parties. According to Stephen MacFarlane, a professor of international relations, “It gives signatories justification if they take action, but it does not force anyone to act in Ukraine.”[53] In the US, neither the George H. W. Bush administration nor the Clinton administration was prepared to give a military commitment to Ukraine, and they did not believe the US Senate would ratify an international treaty and so the memorandum was adopted in more limited terms.”

A strongly worded letter would be appropriate.

But here is the kicker.

Russia is not invading Ukraine. The area(s) where the conflict is located declared independence from Ukraine, Russia recognized it, and they are slowly pushing out the hostel Ulranian occupying force.

Russia has no interest or ability to occupy Ukraine and manage a hostile population. The population of the areas they intend to occupy is quite pro-Russian. This is why they have been very reserved in many ways. They muat remain favorable to the population and they must pay to rebuild.

When this is over, Ukraine’s sovereignty will not be threatened by Russia or the nations of the west. It will be threatened by the multinationals which are already grabbing everything they can. And they have the intention to grab it all once this war is over and Ukraine ends up with a worse deal than they would have gotten if they had negotiated in 2020… a nonexistent economy, a broken population, and maybe much less land, as Russia may decide they want the entire Black Sea coast through Odessa to Transnestria. Ukraine will be in no position to say no.

When liberals lie on serious issues, they “misspoke”. When Trump doesn’t quote minor facts exactly, he is a filty liar.

This double standard reflect on the values of the libtards more than Trump.
