People’s Power Party Leader Hints at Supporting Impeachment of President Yoon

I don’t see how President Yoon stays in power because this is clearly a hint from the PPP leader that they will join the opposition in impeachment if he doesn’t suspend his Presidential powers:

The leader of the ruling party said Friday that President Yoon Suk Yeol needs to be swiftly suspended from exercising power, revealing that Yoon ordered the arrests of prominent politicians during his aborted martial law declaration.

Han Dong-hoon of the People Power Party (PPP) said there is a possibility that the president may again take a “radical” action like the botched declaration of martial law if Yoon clings to the presidential power.

“Given the newly revealed facts, I believe it is necessary to promptly suspend President Yoon Suk Yeol from his duties to protect the Republic of Korea and its people,” Han told an emergency meeting of the party’s leadership at the National Assembly, referring to South Korea by its official name.

Han pointed out it was confirmed Thursday that Yoon had instructed Counterintelligence Commander Yeo In-hyung to detain key political figures, accusing them of being “anti-state” forces, and had even mobilized intelligence to detain them. (Yonhap)

Yoon has not shown superior judgement in all cases; but impeachment should be reserved for actual criminal acts.

Korea is looking more and more like a Banana Republic. They seem to be acting as poorly as the Biden Administration.

impeachment should be reserved for actual criminal acts.

That’s an interesting take on this. Based on your standard, then he should be impeached immediately. Yoon broke the law – using the military and declaring martial law is unconstitutional unless it’s a time of war or a national disaster. Using the military to kill his opposition is a military coup, he should be arrested for the crime of treason. But oh, you Maggots think differently.

Using the military to kill his opposition is a military coup

Who was killed? Besides CCP credibility, I mean?

Who was killed?

Yoon gave a list of opposition party leaders, and ordered his general in charge of the Seoul defense, to “wipe them out”. It didn’t happen only because the high command disobeyed the order. That doesn’t mean it’s not attempted treason.

The old fossils made up of Christian-rightwing Korean MAGAs hold a protest to support Yoon.

Redistributionaliats, be they communists or globalists, are not human.

“Wipe them out” means nothing bad.

Just wipe them out and keep living a prosperous life.

Some nameless person gave some other nameless person a list of undisclosed names and no one was killed; but TEMU-chinabot logic claims it was a massacre.

Apparently, they have no sense of shame, no family, no personal honor, no face…

Pathetic.

C’mon, Beijing! Send us bots that point out the real problems in South Korea instead of these middle-school dropouts rage-posting about Trump all the time!

And have them bring some decent pork. The current crop just whinge about fly larvae.

Hey Maggot.

Yoon ordered an attack on North Korea, so that he could militarily take over South Korea with a pretext.

Do you want your man still to be in power? He endangered your troops and their family. I don’t think even a Maggot would want a war in Korea.

Wow the sh#t has hit the fan in Korea.

The supposed, “leftist commies” always accusing the right wing of being a military dictatorship undermining democracy with baseless fear-mongering accusations….. turned out to be that they were completely right all along. And that the Conservative Party has just committed a Hari Kari in front of 51 million South Koreans. All along, the Korean Right, was chipping away little by little, South Korea’s hard earned democracy by appointing their bought people to key positions to game the system and making moves here, and a move there, and a move here…. while the Democratic Party was sounding an alarm that few were paying attention to and taking seriously. Then, BAM! the Korean Right reveals themselves and falls flat on their noses, still bruised but still kicking, and trying to get up.

This is what awaits the US too. Mark my words.

GI Korea, you’ve been off for years on your take of the South Korean right-wing party.

I don’t see how President Yoon stays in power

This is how he stays in power, by just appointing his own puppet as the new President, while he remains in control unofficially. He just pulled a Putin on South Korea.
