GrayBlack, she may be 1/2, 1/4, or even 1/8. In our son-in-law’s tribe, there are a few that look 100% white, or African American but because they have a certain % Native American blood, they are considered part of the tribe and get the benefits (free medical care, monthly payments from the casino profits, tuition aid, tribe job preferences etc.)
Sometimes I question if diversity may, in fact, be a strength…
…but not all diversities are equal.
