[Column] What kind of Korea do Yoon’s supporters want?
https://www.reddit.com/r/korea/comments/1hzl2gz/column_what_kind_of_korea_do_yoons_supporters_want/
The man who says facts are misinformation now citing reddit post, this is high comedy. These are Real Koreans out there for Yoon, the the Beijing bought protesting groups against Pres. Yoon and the Republic of Korea.

Why would Beijing need to buy protesting group considering that the PPP has traditionally being pro-Beijing?
Did you forget that Park Geun-hye once attended a Chinese military parade back in 2015?

I actually like the idea of anti-communist Jesus.
The globalists need a little Jesus and everybody needs anti-communism.
This won’t be the, “I don’t eat dog because I’m Christian” Jesus, but more, “Dad helps those who helps themselves” Jesus.
That Reddit toxicity was so bad I thought I was on 4chan at first.
I’m not sure it really built much of a case against Yoon.
Anyway, this situation is simple.
If you are backing Yoon, you are a Korean nationalist… not necessarily because of Yoon… but becasue if you are not backing Yoon, you are backing the anti-Korean globalists.
That is a big umbrella, as it includes the multinational chains that are increasingly replacing small business, and even domestic chains. It also includes Aliexpress which is destroying Korean competition (though domestic competition such as Auction deserve failure). And it is international organizations that don’t like to see nations with low deficit spending and lack of dependence, especially in such things as energy.
So, back whoever you want.
But be aware, if you back the globalists, you set yourself up for not being a very good Korean.

More proof that ChickenHead and the other Setnaffarians do not understand how things work in Korea.
It is the Korean left who are the Korean nationalists. They are the ones who promote Korean industries and culture while reducing dependence on foreign influences and such.
The Korean right on the other hand are the true globalists, in that they support multinational corporations and would like Korea to depend on foreign countries.
Note that the Korean President who introduced globalism was non other than Kim Young Sam, one of the original founders of the political party that is now the PPP.
As such Chicken Head’s yapping can be attributed to his attempt to create a narrative to further discredit the Korean left, instead of looking at the truth.
Let’s give concrete examples and see who supports globalism more…
…not the globalism that exports K-pop or allows Samsung to make better semiconductors through technology transfers.
Let’s talk about the globalism that makes Korea dependent and dilutes good points of Korean culture.
Moon:
– Shut down Korea’s nuclear industry which would make Korea more dependent on foreign energy and weaken a strong export product. (History will remember Yoon for restarting it and bringing Koreas future of EVs and flying cars)
– Followed needless globalist covid restrictions on small business which benefited the multinationals.
Roh:
– From 2003 to 2005, the number of low-quality foreign brides coming to Korea skyrocketed.
That just off the top of my head.
Give me three examples of the “right” making Korea dependent or diluting Korean culture.
This is useful. If you can do it, you will educate everyone and it will explain your point of view.
If you cannot… well… you cannot.
Give me three examples of the “right” making Korea dependent or diluting Korean culture.
I gave you two but you chose to ignore them.
You’ll obviously stick to your narrative, so why bother?
So you cannot.
Got it.
I was hoping to learn something from specific examples.
There must be some, as some aspects of globalism are embraced by the right in hopes there is a net gain, even if not immediately apparent.
It will forevwr be a mystery now.
Is the Korean right fully nationalist and would never give in to the globalists?
Or are you just so lazy and stupid you can’t even defend your opinion except with nonsense, even when there are easy to find examples?
You are welcome to try for real…
…or leave us in suspence.
As I said, Chicken Head, I won’t waste my time trying to convince you because obviously you won’t change your narrative.
I believe I reminded you several times, but considering your low brain power you fail to understand that simple concept.
So, again, you can’t.
As expected.
This is likely because it simply cannot be done.
I don’t know if the “I could if I wanted to but I won’t because I already did but you forgot because me not doing it is your fault” mentality ever works on anyone.
It doesn’t work on me.
If you can’t back up your opinion with a couple of sentences, you have no valid opinion.
You are either a troublemaker or an idiot…
…possibly both.
You don’t seem smart enough to be a troublemaker.
You are just an idiot repeating the things you have been programmed to say but not really knowing why, so no idea how to support them.
Good luck in life.
People who view reality like you do never really make it.
Even Koreans who disdain politics are starting to like Yoon. Even folks who don’t like Trump…
@GIKorea
I’m seeing reports that:
DPK MP Jeon Yong-gi says that DPK will sue every single person who spreads “fake news” via internet community websites, social networks, and private messengers. Yes, private messages too.
DPK Lee Jae-myung is calling KakaoTalk a “fake news” sanctuary, an enemh of democracy, and promises to get rid of it.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the DP(R)K tree.
If true, no one will be able to take a taxi, ride a bus, or order takeout… KakaoTalk apps are how normal people do life in Korea…
How would Setnaffa know what Koreans are talking and thinking about? He’s just a redneck in Texas, working on the internment camp for Trump.
GrayBlack spreading his own fake story. But that’s what Yoon was trying to do, shut down all SNS and all media, even had a list of people to arrest and torture.
Shutting down nuke industry was not due to globalism, but due to concerns of safety after Fukushima has done to Japan. The COVID restrictions were nothing to do with Globalism, as it was due to concerns of Pandemic killing people. However, Korea never shut down the businesses (despite some restrictions), compared to most other countries like Trump’s United States where entire businesses were shut down entirely due to harsh lockdowns. Because of this, South Korea was lauded by the international media for exemplary COVID fighting. On the other hand, Trump was heavily criticized for mishandling COVID.
Don’t know what you mean by “low quality” but these foreign brides existed even before Roh Mu Hyun’s time. It started with Roh Tae Woo, a rightwing military man turned President – around 1988, when Korea started importing foreign brides from China. It was also Yoon, who imported those Filipino nannies and tried to pay them below minimum wage. But the Korean left and trade unions fought that hard and prevented that from happening despite Yoon still doing his best to exploit those women. And under Yoon, Korea’s low wage foreign workers hit an all time high for two years in a row 2023 and 2024. Yoon sees these people as machines to be imported and to be thrown away when they’re no longer needed. Terrible 1980’s mindset that still rules Korea’s older conservative party Trump admirer people who treat foreigners and Korean workers as disposable items. Remember Yoon’s proposal to make Koreans work over 82 hours per week? The left and the Unions fought that and prevented that.
And finally not to mention the big one Yoon pulled on Korea. Shipping out all the jobs and money out of Korea, into the US – in return for a “good boy!” praise from the US and a worthless promise that the US will defend Korea is it comes under a nuke attack. He had so much leverage at his proposal as bargaining chips with Biden – and yet he somehow managed to bring home nothing for Korea in return. The job numbers in America have overshot the forecast yet again – thanks largely to America’s greatest investors, South Korea which is subsidizing America to the tune of hundreds of billions in new job creation and new industries in semiconductors and batteries. No F-ing wonder the Americans are desperate to see Yoon hang onto power. They need a chump monkey holding down the back door open for them whenever they need something from Korea. Shameless baffoon. I had enough of his stupid “Bye bye American Pie”.
The ultra-right wing PPP party, Yoon party, caught spreading fake stories, as foreign journalists complain about their dishonesty.

First, he wants to limit private business and now he wants to limit private communication.
Is Lee Jae-myung becoming a less attractive candidate every year?
No such thing Chickenhead, fake story spread by rightwing Yoon supporter media. They didn’t say they want to censor anything. Fake news.
If you really cared about free speech in South Korea, why are you speaking up now? Where were you when Yoon crushed free speech?
