Pete Hegseth Confirmed as U.S. Defense Secretary
|Its official the former Fox News host, Pete Hegseth is now the Secretary of Defense. He has absolutely no experience with the Korean peninsula or the Far East in general. Hopefully he is a quick learner:
The Senate voted Friday to confirm former Fox News Channel host Pete Hegseth as the United States’ next defense secretary, after allegations of sexual misconduct and other issues had dogged President Donald Trump’s pick for the top Pentagon post.
The upper chamber approved Hegseth in a vote where Vice President J.D. Vance broke a 50-50 tie, clearing a hurdle to Trump’s efforts to fill his Cabinet to forge ahead with his America First policy agenda.
In November, Trump tapped Hegseth, an Army veteran with tours in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan, to serve as his defense secretary, describing him as a “warrior for the troops and for the country.”
During a confirmation hearing earlier this month, Hegseth described North Korea as a “nuclear power” that poses a threat to global stability, while highlighting the need for U.S. allies to increase “burden sharing” in pursuit of what he termed “healthy” partnerships.
Hegseth is the author of the recent book titled “The War on Warriors,” which Trump said reveals “how we must return our Military to meritocracy, lethality, accountability, and excellence.”
He had been a host at Fox News for eight years. He is a graduate of Princeton University and has a graduate degree from Harvard University.

Yonhap is not honorable. But American media is no better.
And Hegseth is far better prepared than the chronically-ill blimp he replaced.
Pete Hegseth will apoease the Chinese.
No more freedom of navigation by the USN in the Taiwan Strait.
No more overflights across the Taiwan Strait by the USAF.
Trumpeasement of the Chinese over the Taiwan Strait is hugely problematic for the navies of (pre-Trump) US allies such as the UK and Australia that sailed through the Taiwan Strait last year to demonstrate that the Taiwan Strait is international waters and not a Chinese lake.
But Hegseth is not fond of international waters, or any waters at all, he’s more of a domestic whiskey, bourbon and beer guy.
Ironic as his Commander in Chimp is a teetotaler.
OK that was funny, old man.
If Hegseth is so prepared, why he can’t even name one country in the ASEAN? Does he know what ASEAN is?
forward to the 1.15 minute mark

He’s not qualified because he’s not experienced and he doesn’t know anything. Which serious candidate doesn’t know what ASEAN is?
I saw that too @Korean Man. Quite brazen of Hegseth.
At least McConnell, Collins and Murkowski didnt cave to the Trumpeaser.
Murkowski concerned Trumpeaser will sell Alaaka down the river to Putin to fund Trumpeaser’s bid to buy Greenland.
Oh what a tangled web the Trumpeaser weaved, when first he practiced to deceive.
So the chinabot does have at least three accounts. Good to know.
What’chu talkin’ ’bout Willis?
Taiwan is not China.
And
South Korea is not China either.
Canada is not the USA
Greenland is Denmark
Panama Canal is Panama
Puerto Rico is the USA
ASEAN is in the Southern Hemisphere
The clue is in the name … … …
He doesn’t need experience. Nobody has experience with all the things they need to deal with. “Experience” is an inferior trait to more general abilities like awareness and adaptability. But he does have the experience that counts, being that he was once near the bottom of the organization he is about to lead.
He is likely a quick learner, as he has shown ability in several domains.
The question is: Is he a good manager?
Can he identify problems or people who can accurately identify problems?
Can he listen to proposed solutions and choose the ones that work together to support a larger strategic vision.
Maybe he can.
Probably, he can.
Whatever the case, with the last 4 years of a military more interested in trannies and how many mommies new recruits have, there is so much room for improvement, he doesn’t need much ability to excel.
He just needs to remember the purpose of the military, fire all the saboteurs, and not be stupid.

World leaders have been standing around with an expression like a carp and wondering what they are going to do.
Now they know.
They will comply.
America is going to sell out Taiwan to the Chinese.
It is the right thing to do.
– America arms Taiwan. This isn’t to save it. This is to test weapons, study the Chinese, make them earn Taiwan, etc.
– America makes sure TSMC and others have replicated their production in America
– America gives the go-ahead to China in exchange for something America wants
– America slots some cruise missiles for anything the Chinese shouldn’t have, such as the ASML EUVs
– America becomes the global semiconductor hub that Taiwan is today
– Samsung looks at Asian instability, considers their continuity of business plan, and opens a few more factories in America
– they are all automated so no real jobs… multinationals and globalists win in the end.
