President Yoon Admits to Sending Troops to Look for Election Fraud; Denies Trying to Arrest Parliament Members
If Yoon was trying to arrest members of the Korean parliament, it was the most incompetent coup attempt ever:
President Yoon Suk Yeol said Tuesday he ordered sending troops to offices of the National Election Commission (NEC) during his martial law declaration as he has suspected election fraud allegations.
Yoon made the admission while attending the fifth formal hearing of his impeachment trial at the Constitutional Court in Seoul, where he again denied allegations that he ordered military commanders to drag lawmakers out of parliament in an attempt to prevent them from blocking the martial law imposition. Yoon is also alleged to have sent military troops to the National Assembly to keep lawmakers from voting down the martial law declaration and to have planned to arrest key political figures.
“Nothing actually happened (during martial law decree) … I feel like we are chasing the moon’s shadow on a lake,” Yoon said. “You would know the true nature of this case if you saw it based on common sense.”
Yoon claimed that dragging lawmakers from parliament could not have been possible as there are thousands of civilians in the National Assembly compound and troops were withdrawn after martial law was lifted.

It wasn’t an incompetent coup, he planned everything carefully for months and months, with his loyal generals.
But he didn’t know one thing. He didn’t know that the ground troops who would be asked to carry out his arrest orders, were not going to carry out those orders.
Trump/Musk team are projected to be on the same path to the martial law as Yoon was on. They’ve successfully implanted many of his loyal people into key government positions, the US supreme court has been nullified, the US judicial system has been stacked with Trump loyalists, the media is increasingly cowed through lawsuits, and key financial data of all fed employees seized. Trump is where Yoon was in 2023. Soon, Trump can use any public protests as a pretext to declare national emergency and a martial law. Let’s see what the American troops will do when they’re ordered by Trump to do things that are anti-democratic. Judging by how the US military loves Donald Trump, I am betting they will follow orders.
@Korean Man, it was incompetent to think these Soldiers many of them conscripts would have complied with the martial law decree to block lawmakers from entering the parliament and especially trying to arrest them if true. The average ROK Soldier today does not want to be part of any modern day Gwangju Incident. If they really planned out in detail this martial law decree they would have handpicked the Soldiers going to the National Assembly to ensure they were loyalists that would have carried out the orders.

Something for the Trump administration to think about when he picks his men to arrest the Democrat leaders in the US Congress. The Democrats are just starting to wake up and they’re holding their first anti-Trump rally across the US. If things get out of hand, Trump can use that excuse to declare martial law. He’s already done a lot of work within the last few weeks to consolidate his power base by putting all his loyal men into key positions, including Musk in charge of the Treasury, and firing all US federal employees who are not loyalists to Trump. Threats of firings and withholding pay checks are very powerful statements to anti-Trump people who don’t want to get in line. And hiring 19 to 22 year old high-school graduates with no security clearances in charge of that tells me Musk wants the economy to crash. He keeps saying there’s going to be pain in the beginning, for long term gain. Sounds exactly like what the Kim family have been saying in North Korea for 70+ years.
Trump made many mistakes his first term.
One of them was not putting the Full Gwangju on BLM and Antifa.
Protests are American. Violent protests need to be countered with greater violence.
Blocking the streets is a violent protest.
Looking at you, illegal aliens blocking the streets, burning American flags, waving Mexican flags, and wondering why we want you to go.

– What is the line between “Trump Loyalist” and people who share a vision of a stronger America with no financial irresponsibility and less social insanity? Right now, he is simply getting rid of people who have demonstrated they put their own gain over the welfare of America.
– Nobody around Trump wants the economy to crash. They want it to excel. Everybody talks about Trump’s big ego and then claim he wants to fail. This is why the top 10% control 80% of the wealth. Society is not a symetrical Bell curve. More people are on the stupid side.
Yes, another good point. Using the threats of external forces to invoke a martial law and full suspension of democracy. Yoon tried to use the North Korea threat to do just that. When he failed, and he got imprisoned, he used his evangelical Christian cult support base to spread many fake news of the red China infiltrating Korea threat, to try to galvanize the Conservative support base. And that has worked much better due to heavy anti-China feelings in South Korea currently.
Trump is beautifully using the illegal immigration, foreign “drug cartels”, foreign countries being unfair to America, to galvanize his forces and win support for his base. And that has worked like a charm. When there are peaceful protests on the streets of American cities, Trump should hire local thugs to start violent acts on the streets. When that spreads, he can call in the military, accuse the Democrats of encouraging insurrection, and finally suspend democracy. The key for Trump though, is to plant his loyal men to the American judicial system which Trump still has not taken full control. He will need that before he tries to suspend democracy. Look at South Korea – Yoon planted 4 conservative judges into the supreme court, but they probably are not Yoon loyalists (I hope, but we will find out soon).
The cases of South Korea and America are looking eerily similar.
However, Yoon is in jail, and it doesn’t look good for him. But Trump is just beginning, and the prospects look much better for him.
If Yoon is found guilty, Korea must put him and his close collaborators to death immediately. We cannot afford to take a chance that Yoon, like Trump, somehow come back to power later.
The US is well on its way to dictatorship, it’s the most dangerous country on earth, with a lunatic president with a nuclear button between his fingers and nobody close to him will stop him.

Except it’s not fake news. China is infiltrating everywhere. This is not a secret and it is the best thing for them to do. Everybody understands this.
The funny part is when politicians say, “China is getting involved in everything they can except us. That is fake news.”

Chickenhead, they don’t even need to hire me. They can just look at how Yoon gathered his public support using the China threat. The public just didn’t think North Korea was a threat. His mistake was that he didn’t use the Chinese threat (instead of using the NK threat) from the beginning, instead he tried to change course by using the Chinese threat after he was imprisoned. Using the fear of the external threats to gain public support and legitimacy is a well known playbook for many well known dictators throughout history. I’m sure Trump/Musk/Tech Bro oligarchy team know very well how this game is played, they don’t need me to tell them what to do. They know the hot button issue in America – illegal foreigners coming through the borders with drugs. Any protests on the streets can be blamed on them, and the Democrat leaders can be accused of encouraging them, for which they can be accused of insurrection and treason.
