Korean Lawmakers Propose A Bill to Document Births of Illegal Immigrant Babies

It looks like South Korean lawmakers may be opening the door to having anchor babies in South Korea:

Lawmakers have proposed a bill requiring medical institutions to register the births of non-Korean babies in the government system, in a bipartisan bid to reduce the number of undocumented children and better protect their rights.

Last week, 11 lawmakers from both the ruling People Power Party (PPP) and the main opposition Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) jointly proposed a bill requiring hospitals and other medical institutions to report the births of children born to foreign nationals in the country, including undocumented residents. (………)

However, this policy has not extended to children born to non-citizens. As a result, some children born to undocumented foreign nationals in Korea remain unregistered, as their parents fearing deportation choose not to report the births. The exact number of such minors living in the country remains unclear. According to the Board of Audit and Inspection, at least 4,025 babies went unregistered between 2015 and 2022.

This is why the bill also seeks to ensure that government officials involved in birth registration are prohibited from reporting undocumented residents to the immigration office, providing a measure of protection for these families.

You can read more at the link, but if a bank robber shows up at the hospital to have a baby do they get immunity from being arrested as well?

Korean voters elected these people who, instead of expelling illegals will now replace Koreans with more easily influence foreigners.

Why don’t you people mind your own business? You guys did enough to f* up your own country. Nobody asked you to get involved with Korea.

Ah Korean Man. I’ve been traveling to Korea for almost 20 years for business and lived there for 3 years as an expat. I love Korea but it won’t be Korea anymore when all Korea looks like Itaewon. I figured you of all people would want Korea to remain Korean.

“You guys did enough to f* up your own country.”

1. It wasn’t “us guys”.

2. It was all the leftist anti-nationalist globalists and corporitist neofeudalists looking to globalize labor (or take temporary advantage of labor arbitrage at the long-term expense of the nation).

3. So it was “you guys”.

The lefties are just argumentitive.

It is quite shocking how the American lefties are doing everything possible to block any accountability on how America squanders its resources. That seems like a program everyone can get behind.

…but… no.

The lefties like to take everyone’s money and redistribute it to those who promote taking more people’s money to redistribute more.

Sort of correct CH.

It was “you guys” who invited in the illegal Elon Musk and his sjambok mentality.

In the 1980s, unlike the children in Soweto, the black kids in Angola were shooting back, so in 1989 Elon Musk scarpered from South Africa to pitch up in Canada to evade the draft.

Three years later, Elon Musk crossed the border from Canada into the USA.

Stephen, this is why you and the left will fail.

You really do not know the difference between the illegals living off government money and the guy who keeps America superior in space technology.

And you make decisions based on this ignorance.

Come back when you can think like an adult.

Stephen, this is why you and the left will fail.

CH, very astute to distinguish between “you” (Stephen) and “the left” (Musk and his government subsidized Tesla and SpaceX).

Let the market decide.

Tesla sales down like a babushka’s panties at one of setnaffa’s bunker parties … despite Leftie Musk’s Shanghai factory being heavily subsidized by the Chinese Govt.

Stephen, I’m glad you brought that up.

Let’s do two things:

– List the “subsidies” that SpaceX gets. Don’t include pay for actual work done, such as with the ISS where they were paid half as much as Boeing but did all the work.

– Explain the difference between a subsidy and government social engineering on issues such as the environment. (Keep in mind, Musk was not invited to the last electric car giveaway).

Bonus: If you want to be more theoretical, we can talk about how government should socialize thing that cannot or should not make a profit. Space travel is one of them. In the past, it was heavily government funded. It is now moving to private industry with government as the main customer. In some time, government will not be needed for the economics to work out.

Musk would LOVE the end of subsidies for electric cars, as it would channel more business to him.

Musk delivers excellet value to the government in SpaceX.

You are barking up the wrong tree, as ususal.
