South Korean Stocks Dip Due to Expected Trump Tariff Implementation this Week

It will not only be South Korean stocks dipping this week, but likely most of the world as well:

South Korean stocks fell 3 percent to a near two-month low Monday ahead of U.S. reciprocal tariffs set to be announced later this week amid the removal of a short selling ban. The local currency sharply fell against the U.S. dollar.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 76.86 points to close at 2,481.12, marking the lowest closing since Feb. 3, when it finished at 2,453.95.

Trade volume was slim at 385.5 million shares worth 8.1 trillion won (US$5.5 billion), with losers sharply outnumbering winners 824 to 87.

Foreigners sold a net 1.5 trillion won worth of stocks, while institutions and individuals purchased a net 666.9 billion won and 789.9 billion won, respectively.

Analysts said investors were concerned that U.S. President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs, slated for Wednesday (U.S. time), would trigger a global trade war. He also confirmed 25 percent tariffs on all imported cars set to take effect Thursday.

China, Japan, South Korea will jointly respond to US tariffs

https://www.reuters.com/world/china-japan-south-korea-will-jointly-respond-us-tariffs-chinese-state-media-says-2025-03-31/

Since both SK and Japan products will get blocked into the US, these two countries will no longer have anything to lose by cooperating with China.

Both Portugal and Canada have canceled their F-35 jet fighter deals with the US, which were worth tens of billions of dollars. The US defense industry will no longer enjoy good business, as the US has lost the trust of all the nations. No-one’s going to buy 10%-watered-down versions of US military hardware with kill switches controlled by Washington. And more and more countries are boycotting the US.

There was already a trade war. The USA had just been pretending we were at peace. Free trade means no tariffs; but on both sides.

Nothing to lose cooperating with China except their freedoms, their sovereignty, their dignity, and probably their lives.

Ironic, coming from someone who comes from the country that bans free speech, arrest people without due process of law, and threatening other countries for invasions (Greenland, Canada, Panama, Gaza).
Look in the mirror, maggot.

The US is becoming a complete clown show.

Three months into the US bird flu crisis, and they are still nowhere near a solution, due to mismanagement and stupidity… oh my god.

Still not enough eggs, and it’s months and months. Stupidity is the name of the game.

Anti-vaxcer RFK Jr., being the head of CDC and public health, is making the crisis worse, because he doesn’t believe in science and he says that viruses aren’t dangerous, so just let them spread.

Americans are idiotic people who should not be allowed to travel. They will carry dangerous diseases due to their ignorance and superstitions. Just put one giant wall around the continent and lock them in and let them spread the disease to themselves. What a dystopic third world basketcase.

Ironic, coming from someone who comes from the country that…

“bans free speech”

Hate speech is free speech. Anti-government speech os free speech. Inciting violence is not free speech… especially when coupled with actual violence.

Bonus: Non-Americans don’t have the same protections on free speech. Anti-government speech is often ignored but not protected.

“arrest people without due process of law”

Every example you have given has shown the law was followed. Much of the “due process” is actually unnecessary under the law. Activist judges placing additional legal burdens on legal activities is not due process.

“and threatening other countries for invasions (Greenland, Canada, Panama, Gaza).”

And?

ProThought: Did Canadians learn any lesson about giving up their guns? Hopefully not. The more liberal they get, the easier they are to enslave.

By the way, I don’t know what commie craphole Korean Thing lives in; but egg prices are way down and the supply is nearly back to pre-fake pandemic #5 got the catamites murdering chickens without reason.

#3, Monkey Pox, might still be a worry for Korean Thing, so he should probably shelter-in-place a while longer.

And stock up on test kits and booster shots.

Monkeypox was only a big deal until it turned out that pretty much only gay men were getting it around their mouths and anùses.

Then the second wave came in the next two demographics… children and animals in close proximity to gay men…

…and that was that.

There’s a reason why egg prices in the US are falling

US to import eggs from Turkey, South Korea amid price surge, avian flu

The Trump administration is importing millions of eggs from Turkey and South Korea, with other countries likely to be contributing in the coming weeks, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said Friday.

It seems that despite Trump’s badmouthing, US allies have stepped in and saved Trump from the mess he created.

It’s also an embarrassment for Trump and MAGA/Setnaffarians, because it clearly shows that it is foreign trade that helps keep consumer prices down, not tariffs.

But considering the MAGA/Setnaffarian crowd are poorly educated and not that smart, they probably won’t realize it and instead destroy the US economy in their Don Quixotic quest to end ‘wokeness’ and ‘globalism’.

“Trump’s not doing anything about egg prices!”

Trump does something about egg prices.

“It wasn’t Trump! It was other nation responding to American capitalism! It proves tariffs don’t work becasue egg prices went down and not up like if the other countries had put tariffs on the money they were being paid for the eggs. Potato!”

Also: Wokeness is already dead. It gasps its last breaths in increasingly isolated pockets of failure like inbreeding hillbillies fùcking their toothless sisters deep in the mountains, but it is no longer affecting society much. Asians will get math scholarships again. Black doctors will be respected.

Israel and Vietnam have zeroed out their tariffs on America. Thus, Trump will likely reduce or eliminate tariffs on them.

It’s really quite telling when people start ranting about tariffs… one finds Reagan was spot on.

It’s not that they know nothing, it’s that so much of what they know is wrong.

Israel and Vietnam have zeroed out their tariffs on America.

Israel is the 27th largest trading partner of America while Vietnam is the 10th.

Israel isn’t exactly big fry.

As for Vietnam

Vietnam is cutting taxes on US imports and approving Starlink services ahead of US President Donald Trump’s announcement of reciprocal tariffs this Wednesday (2 April).

Via a statement on its website, the government announced a reduction in its import tax on ethanol from 10% to 5%, on liquified natural gas from 5% to 2%, and on some types of cars from 64% to 32%. Many agricultural products like chicken, nuts, apples, cherries and raisins will also receive tax deductions. The changes went into effect on Monday 31 March.

Vietnam is one of the countries set to suffer the most from the upcoming US reciprocal tariffs because of its considerable reliance on trade. Last year, exports were equivalent to 85% of its gross domestic product, with the US representing its largest market.

Vietnam gives US tax breaks ahead of tariff announcement – Investment Monitor

The Vietnamese are scared so they decided to appease Trump by cutting the import tax,( not zeroing out tariffs as claimed by ) and as a sweetner approved Starlink which is owned by the actual President Musk.

Typical of and the Setnaffarian/MAGA crowd to become desperate to the point that they have to scrounge around for less than major examples and spread misinformation to further their points.
