Korean Constitutional Court Upholds Impeachment of President Yoon

The only thing I find surprising by this ruling was that it was unanimous:

The Constitutional Court unanimously upheld the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol on Friday, removing him from office over his short-lived imposition of martial law in December.

The verdict, which was read by acting court chief Moon Hyung-bae and televised live, took effect immediately, requiring the country to hold a snap presidential election to pick Yoon’s successor within 60 days, which many expect to fall on June 3.

You can read more at the link., but considering all the judges voted in support of impeachment then why did it take so long to reach this decision?

Why take so long? Yoon supporters won’t firebomb the judges’ homes.

But South Korea elected the government they have, so it’s all fine.

“And when injustice grows great in the land, and the balances of judgment are thrown down, the people shall become as servants—not to their own rulers, but to the princes of distant nations. For the mighty will trade the souls of the lowly, and the land shall groan beneath the yoke of foreign lords.”

Laodiceans 4:16

The only thing I find surprising by this ruling was that it was unanimous:

Nothing surprising about it. He broke the law, and he appeared on national TV with his dumb down speech, copied straight from Chun Doo Hwan speech in 1980. The country is too educated to fall for that crap.

That’s why South Korea still has rule of law. That’s something the US no longer has, as all your Democratic institutions are under attack or dismantled.

“all your Democratic institutions are under attack or dismantled”

You don’t have to name them all, but give me 3 that are under attack and 3 that are dismantled.

I will start.

The executive branch is under attack.

Judges at the district or circuit level are issuing rulings that halt or delay executive actions by a democratically elected president.

These aren’t final Supreme Court judgments.
They’re opreliminary injunctions or temporary blocks, but they carry immediate weight. As a result, a single unelected judge can pause national policy set by an elected official who was elected due to that policy.

So, national policy is shaped not by elections, but by litigation.

That is a democratic institution under attack.

Your turn.

I am really interestrd to heat which democratic institutions got dismantled.

It is dangerous for those who do not believe to try to use Bible verses taken out of context.

Please read or re-read Roman Chapter 1. Especially verse 22.

Have a blessed weekend.

I mention Laodicean because the Laodicean church is often used as a metaphor for modern spiritual indifference or churches that are rich in comfort but poor in passion.

I am no biblical scholar but I try to keep up.

The Apostle Paul mentions the Laodiceans in Colossians 4:16 (had to look that up)… but the whole thing became shady in the middle ages.

I took a bible history class and I don’t remeber more.

You’re mostly right CH, although there is no reputable copy of Paul’s Letter to the Laodicean Church and I don’t want people heading in the wrong direction, eternity-wise. There are many warnings in the Bible about twisting the meaning to suit human ambitions.

The more relevant reference to them is in Revelation 3:14-22 (English Standard Version quoted here):

“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation.

“‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

Meanwhile, we should try to be like Christ, not the weak, imperfect humans that we all are.

South Korea descends into communism.

“South Korea descends into communism.”

Careful. This is the right-wing equivalent of “nazi fascist racist”.

“Communist” is a catchall for dumbàsses like “fascist” is a catchall for people that don’t share my exact opinion.

There are no communists.

There have likely never been any communists… which is why, “but but but real communism has never been tried.”

…and never will be.

In the examples of fake communism, of which they all are, the conversation went like this:

“I want power.”

“Me too. How do we get it?”

“Let’s look at the problems around us, make solutions, explain to the voters how we will solve these problems, get elected, solve the problems. Easy.”

“Are you crazy? You want to explain complex policy to people who lined up to be medically experimented on for a piece of pizza and have stress issues about the weather in 100 years?”

“Yeah. You are right. How about we promise them free stuff distribueted by a fair and efficient government. Maybe tell them it will come from the rich paying their fair share.”

“Good idea. What do we call ourselves? Soviets, Khmer Rouge, Democrats… all the good names are taken.”

Now that everyone is starting to admit to themselves that communism is a fantasy, the predators who used communism are now using the same tools under different names to convince the same stooges that they can add meaning to their empty lives by being part of something bigger.

But the goal of gaining and holding power is the same.

Korea isn’t descending into communism. It is descending into a different system which will dilute their unity and nationalism so they can be controlled and exploited.

Plot Twist: Korea doesn’t have much the globalists want, such as resources. In fact, Korea has nothing that AI and robots can’t replace, likely in the next 10 years. This is not a good place to be, as the globalists will burn down anything they can’t control or use.

Gotta label it as something, since the left is sponsored by commie china it is communism (or WEF Globalism). Korea may not have any resources the globalist want but it certainly following the globalist agenda; importing jihadist immigrants, crowds waving rainbow flags, undermining the rule of law….checking off all the boxes.

Supposed to see lots of “Hands Off 2025” protests today throughout the country.
Mike was in downtown Denver and didn’t see any.
Doesn’t really bode well for this protest, if they aren’t in Denver.
Doge is only supposed to be in place for 130 days.
So before summer it will be over.
Better get those “billionaire takeover” protests in while they can.

The age of American dominance is over — and you MAGA types are the last ones to figure it out.

You just declared economic war on the world with cooked-up trade numbers and delusional protectionist policies. Congratulations — you’ve officially proven to the global community that the U.S. is no longer a trustworthy partner. You don’t honor international agreements, you don’t respect the global rule of law, and you treat diplomacy like a WWE cage match. No country in its right mind is going to build factories or invest in a nation where the president can throw a tantrum and blow up trade overnight.

You’ve torched your soft power. America used to be respected — now it’s a cautionary tale. The world is watching a superpower self-destruct in slow motion, and you’re too wrapped up in culture wars and flag-waving nonsense to notice.

International students? They’re leaving in droves — and they’re not coming back. Why would they? You’ve made it crystal clear they’re not welcome. Your top universities, once the envy of the world, are going to sink into irrelevance without global talent. And while you’re busy slashing research and development to fund more tax cuts and military toys, East Asia is eating your lunch in AI, biotech, clean energy, and everything else that matters in the 21st century.

Rule of law? That’s a joke now. Your leaders don’t respect the Constitution, due process is optional, and the government’s already “disappearing” people under the radar. You really think it’s only going to happen to immigrants? Give it time — that same lawless system will turn on you, too.

And let’s talk about the U.S. dollar — your so-called ace in the hole. You’re killing it. By weaponizing the dollar and arbitrarily shutting down trade, you’ve convinced the rest of the world to start looking for alternatives. Why the hell would any country keep using the dollar when you’ve shown you can cut off access on a political whim?
Central banks are dumping U.S. Treasuries. Countries are diversifying into gold, the Euro, the yuan, and even forming new regional trading systems.

You’ve destroyed the trust that made the dollar the world’s reserve currency in the first place — trust, stability, access, and Liberal Democracy. Once those are all gone, trust is gone for good. No one wants to do business with a nation run like a reality TV show.

You think America’s being taken down by China or immigrants or DEI or some imaginary deep state? No — you’re doing it to yourselves. You’ve turned your back on the world, crippled your own economy, and turned your country into a paranoid, unstable mess. This isn’t a decline. It’s a nosedive.

And you still have the nerve to chant “USA” like any of this is sustainable?

Wake up.

Hahahaha! You are wrong on every point.

These are clearly not your opinions. You are just repeating the talking points you have been told.

But the outrage is yours, and it is real.

And it is glorious to watch.

Bonus: you forgot to say “maggots”.

Germany and Italy just announced they want their gold deposits at Fort Knox back after Trump/Musk said they want to go “see” (probably to steal) the gold stored there. Look for more and more countries to join them in pulling their gold, US treasuries, and other US debt out of your dystopia. There’s now no point for any country to buy any US debt. The summer is coming. Look for the street protests across your cities to grow bigger and bigger after every American’s pockets are hit with huge price shocks overnight for daily necessities. All you’re doing is hurting yourselves. It will be interesting to see all the fights over $50 rolls of toilet paper again. Will angry Trump, who clearly is showing signs of dementia, call in the military and declare martial law to become the new king of America? It will be interesting to see if that happens.

maggots.

Not to brag, but I personally have more gold in my safe than Germany and Italy have in Ft. Knox.

In other news, the grownups are probably immune to improbable fears pushed the media. The midwits still appear to buy into it.
