I’m kind of curious about the “Have Not’s” in North Korea that are in close proximity to the “Haves.” Does their wealth make the Have Not’s want to become Have, or does it make the Have Not’s want to rebel against the Haves?
I’m wondering if Fatty’s “Simultaneous Push” will end up pushing harder on Economic Reforms than on the Military. If he can convince the Military of the concept A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats, he might, just might, get somewhere.
During a press conference Monday, the lawyers said they were told by an intelligence official that access was not allowed because the “North Korean workers had entered South Korea out of their own free will.”
“If that is correct, the government must grant them their right to counsel,” the lawyers told reporters.
Um, why? If I want an attorney, I’ll ask for one. Having a group of “progressive” (code word for wholly owned by the DPRK) lawyers dropping in unasked for sounds like a good way for the norKs to influence their decision. As in “You know your mother is in a lot of trouble right now? If you come home and apologize, we might be able to minimize everyone’s sentences.”
MTB, that’s been the subject of countless movies and TV shows since the 1930s… Still, in spite of lack of access to most modern media, I’d expect the ex-Norks to see it that way just because all lawyers up north work for the gummint…
First Openly Gay Army Secretary, Confirmed by U.S. Senate http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/first-openly-gay-army-secretary-confirmed-n575661
“In another historic moment for the Obama administration, the Senate on Tuesday evening confirmed the long-stalled nomination of Eric Fanning to be Army secretary.
Fanning thus becomes the first openly gay leader of any U.S. military service — a milestone not lost on gay rights groups and coming five years after the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” which had prohibited gay and lesbian service members from being open about their sexuality.”

If Obama spent half as much effort promoting (quality) job creation for everyone as he does hooking up the gays or finding ways to keep blacks on the plantation of dependence, he would be considered a good president.
Pyongyang distributed presents to the population during the Seventh Party Congress, but some of the gifts were of such poor quality ordinary North Koreans are grumbling about the regime.
“Members of the general population were given a toothpaste, a bottle of liquor, and a lot of complaints have ensued,” Ishimaru said.
Some of the dental care products also had to be paid for and were of poor quality, according to the report.
Yeah, paying for inferior products. I mean, I was always annoyed havng to use some bizarre Off Brand steak sauch when I was first in the Navy, but at least I didn’t have to pay for it.
Fatty is making his people pay for the equivalent of Great Value Brand.
I had tongue cancer a few years back, and I remember the conversation with the intern:
Dr: So, Mr. Rider. Have you quit smoking yet?
Me: Doc, I’ve never smoked a day in my life.
Dr. Well, do you dip sir?
Me: Nope, gross.
Dr. Heavy drinker…
Me: Socially. A case can easily last a month.
Dr: Huh. You got bad luck.
Anyways, smoking is a lead cause of the Big C. I’m wondering if Fatty might start dropping weight soon. If he does, it might not be because he is out skiing, or going to the gym. If the media starts saying how Comrade Fat-Ass is looking better, take it with a grain of salt. I dropped 25kg, and it wasn’t a healthy weight loss.

Come on, Tbone, don’t be so sensitive.
You are not being singled out for ridicule. Lots of guys are unattractive to average girls yet still need some degree of release.
Sure, mom’s “love” is not ideal… but it is better than nothing… and your mom probably appreciates the intimacy after so many loveless encounters.

I always said I’d never boycott Target, but if it’s true that they are suing this guy, I might just have to. Which sucks, because I’m moving to an area with the first Target I’ve lived near in seven years. (insert stream of expletives)
After reading a little more of the story Target may have a case:
It was two years ago when a homeless man attacked a teenage girl inside the Target store in East Liberty.
He was found guilty, but mentally ill. But Target says the stabbing happened because of what three men did that day.
Michael Turner was there when 16-year-old Allison Meadows was stabbed twice by 41-year-old Leon Walls inside the Target in 2013.
Meadows, from Tennessee, was visiting family in Pittsburgh. She has since recovered from her wounds.
Today, Turner carried a sign outside the store reading: “Target sues stabbing victim hero.”
“Everyone thinks Walls walked inside Target and stabbed this little girl, but that’s not what happened, you had an encounter prior to that?” asked KDKA’s Brenda Waters.
“At this point, we were standing on Highland Avenue, and then that’s when Walls attacked Jobe Wright. At that point, Roland Smith and Tyreek Walker pursued behind him. At this point, I get in a car with Jobe Wright,” said Turner.
Turner says he and his friend got in a car to find Walls and when they arrived at Target another friend came out of the store and said “he’s in there.”
“I entered Target, I run up the escalator, I make a right, that’s when I encountered Walls in the store,” said Turner.
Turner says he and Walls exchanged words. He also says he went into the store with a baseball bat.
“He grabbed a little girl, he didn’t stab her at that point, he was talking, saying … he was trying to get out the store and Jobe told him, ‘You’re not going nowhere ’til the police come,’” said Turner. “And that’s when he started saying, ‘Y’all think I’m playing, y’all think I’m playing. I’m not playing.’ And he stabbed her the first time. Then he stabs her again.”
But now the store is saying if Turner had not gone after Walls with the baseball bat, Allison would not have been stabbed.[CBS Pittsburgh]
It will be interesting to see if legally Target can claim the four guys caused the stabbing. I would assume Target’s point of view will be that they should have had the police handle the incident which may have prevented the stabbing from happening.
However, Target is only suing because they got sued by the stabbing victim and are trying to deflect blame in court. Without more information it is hard to say whether Target could have prevented the guy from entering the store. Should Target have people at the entrance that stops everyone they suspect is homeless and has mental problems? If so they would probably get sued by someone for discrimination because they got denied entry.
