‘Kim Jong Un is detaining American citizens as human shields amid fears of a U.S. attack targeting his nuclear and missile programs as part of a new form of “hostage diplomacy,” according to experts’

Q: What do all 4 Americans being held by North Korea have in common?

A: Jesus.

…though, technically, one seemed to have forgotten Jesus just long enough to steal.

Again: EVERYONE North Korea has detsined has begged for it… jumping borders, petty crime, spreading Jesus, etc… shít all the normal Americans refrain from for a few days when they are there. The rules aren’t hard to understand or follow with an adult mindset.

There is no “danger” in going to North Korea if you behave and simply watch the freakshow instead of trying to influence it.

North Korea is pretty easy to understand…

…but the first step (like everything in life) is being honest with ourselves.

This latest joker:

“Kim Hak-song had previously described himself as a Christian missionary who intended to start an experimental farm at PUST, Reuters news agency reported, citing an online post by Mr Kim.”

My Pity Meter is reading somewhere between zero and nothing.

I blame Clinton and Obama for giving the impression they had a jet on standby with a retired politician and a pallet of cash in case North Korea “captured” any innocent Americans.

…and maybe they did…

…but not for Christians.

The lesson here is not to mix your Jesus with your North Korea… pretty easy to understand and remember.

Note to North Korea: You can keep them until you get tired of feeding them. We agree they brought it on themselves so we have no particular outrage in the matter… nor do we see any reason they are more important than other national interests… ypu know… like keeping America from being nuked… so good luck with that human shield thing. We certainly don’t want to owe you one due to a few dumbaśśes. Just remember the commie-lovers are out of power and the religious right is in control of the drums of war… so I’d reconsider if you have a useful human shield or just an excuse to get your aśś kicked.

If they’re Christians, they will have read Philippians 1:21 English Standard Version (ESV) “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Now I’m not going to say that life in a North Korean prison (or anywhere else in that country) is like going to VBS when you’re in 4th Grade. What I’m saying is that Christians are meant to be Ambassadors to a kingdom not of this world. And even though we are all imperfect and forget that and do sinful things, God reminds us and facilitates spreading His word.

The Romans used to crucify some Christians, feed others to wild animals, and use others as human torches to light the streets. And yet they couldn’t stop Christ’s Kingdom from taking over their empire in just over 200 years.

North Korea is much smaller. If they expect torture, imprisonment, and death to save them from takeover, they might want to reread History and start expelling Christians instead of making them martyrs…

Setnaffa, I cannot argue with anything you wrote.

In the not-too-distant future, North Korea will be dotted with churches just like South Korea.

F State, bunch of GD stooges there. State still refuses to grow a set and address Palestine, don’t have to answer to calls to recognize it as a terror-state when you refuse to admit it’s pretty much a state to begin with. ❗

State has been growing more and more Red (as in commie, not GOP) since the late 1940s…
