This is absolutely horrible:

A missing dog has been found killed and eaten by a neighbor.

According to the Pyeongtaek Police Station, Tuesday, a woman in her 30s reported to the police that her lost dog might have been eaten by someone.

She lost her two-year-old Welsh Corgi in Cheongbuk-eup, Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province, March 4.

The woman offered 1 million won ($936) as a reward to find the dog and put up signs in the streets.

While she was searching for the dog, she got a tip from a friend who said, “Someone has eaten the dog.”

The suspect was a 63-year-old neighbor.

He told the police that the dog was barking too much in the yard so he threw a rock at it. Then the dog was knocked out so he strangled him with electric wires.  [Korea Times]

Happened to friends who were stationed at Casey too before. Just despicable people out there.

That was not very neighborly… and the whole story seems in bad taste… but it is a case of “man bites dog”, so I guess it’s news

“He told the police that the dog was barking too much”

The real story is that some inconsiderate bitch had a dog that went yap yap yap yap yap yap yap and drove all the neighbors completley crazy.

In America, it would simply be tossed a ball of hamburger meat filled with poison and the problem would be solved.

In Korea, no sense to waste a perfectly good dead dog.

When you look at it that way, the Korean solution seems more practical.

It’s a dog-eat-dog world But we typically don’t expect our neighbors to “help themselves” without an invitation.

I think the haruboji probably just felt he needed a little “stamina” to deal with the barking dog. And when he had finished his meal, the dog’s barking was no longer an issue.

Chickenhead, no, just no.

CH, I was thinking exactly the same thing, so I second that motion. There are likely other neighbors (silent majority) who are glad to have the yapping finally silenced.

A listener,

Believe me… I love dogs just as much as the next red-blooded American and it saddens me to see them come to harm.

On the flip side, people who make noise in crowded areas, be it with dogs, motorcycles, or stereos, are fundementally díckheads and do not respond well to polite requests to be considerate to others.

One hundred percent of my attempts to be friendly and reasonable with this type of person have met with total disaster… including getting blamed when someone else took care of the problem.

For this reason, I solve these kinds of problems with poison, fire, hammers, electricity, glue, acid, and anonymous threats of bone-chilling menace.

I don’t want to see the poor little dog killed and eaten any more than you do… but I fully sympathize with the neighbors… and have a bit of glee over the pain felt by the women who, probably still now, has no idea what a pain in the àss she was to everyone around her.

Chickenhead, you may want to delete your 2nd to last paragraph. I only say this out of concern for you and admission to breaking the law if you are not trolling. If you are trolling then you made me lol.

Breaking the law?

Oh. I thought we were talking about a video game… GTA or Fallout.

I cannot imagine doing anything like that in Real Life.

I guess another neighbor also probably ate the dog with soju and ratted out the dognapper and water after. How else could they know?
