The SUMMIT is on.
KJU crying because his economy is bad. The last several years have seen him instead expending resources developing WMD. KJU is one smart cookie. MJI and President Trump will hand over the economy he wants and he still keeps his WMD.
MJI selling out the ROK. President Trump will collapse.
Characteristically KJU won’t even be paying for his stay in Singapore.
KJU continues to hold the winning cards.

OOPS….KJU will continue with human rights abuse.
This is the same old movie.

We shall see… but KJU is likely to slip in the shower if he cheats…

I only hope President Trumps focus is denuclearization. Video of him with the nk butcher and no John Bolton in sight leads me to believe he has already been sucked in.

Shane & Shane – Though You Slay Me:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyUPz6_TciY

Listen through the song once. It’s only 6:14.

When I was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago, it was a stage 3 high grade soft tissue sarcoma in my right cheek. I was in shock. It literally knocked me down. I quickly went through my pride, my strength, and all my other previous anchors. I was left alone with aggressive inpatient chemotherapy, two five-week rounds of radiation, and what amounted to three very invasive surgeries. And well over $30,000 in lodging costs not covered by insurance. I’m on my third year of hitting the “out of pocket maximum”.

In a way, after being a church member for years and years, I finally “met God” when I stopped trying to be self-sufficient. He carried me when I was too sick to do anything but cry.

I’m not done yet. The cancer has not been detected for a year; but there’s no guarantees about it staying gone. If I make it to five years, MD Anderson will give me a certificate.

In the meantime, there is another guarantee available if we want it. God loves us.

Psalm 23 offers a beautiful description of that love:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever

Anthony Bourdain chose not to accept that help. I am sorry for that and for the loss his death leaves with his family, friends, coworkers, and fans.

Please don’t reject the help that’s right there for the asking.

Setnaffa,
Glad to hear you are in remission this past year and that your faith has sustained you. I won’t speak for everyone here but I know that when I asked for help for a sick child, RokDroppers were the most generous.

If you are having money troubles I would be happy to make a small donation.

Johnnyboy, I appreciate the kind words and the offer. I don’t need anything right now; but I am in the process of getting laid off and I really believe the Lord is giving me a chance to really, really lean on Him… 🙂

I keep sharing with the folks here because this place has some of the most decent folks I’ve “met” on the interwebs. And I want all of us to go to Heaven.

And GI is being pretty tolerant, so I’ll shut up for a while… 😀

Thanks, GI. There is always a little trepidation when changing jobs–and this isn’t my first rodeo, as they say. However, God is giving the wife and I peace about it all.

If nothing else, I can get a couple extra days vacation this summer… 😉

It’s probably going to be really awkward working in a combined forces NORAD command post this week.

Probably not, JoeC. Those NORAD folks behave professionally, regardless of the political posturing done by so-called “leaders” or “journalists”. They know their jobs are more important than who “won” a battle on Twitter.

Setnaffa,
I’m sorry to hear about your employment travails. Wish there was something I can do? I am very glad about your recovery. 🙂
My husband’s father recently passed away in very bad circumstances, very unexpected. It really brings home the value of friends and family. You never know what a day will bring. You and yours are in my prayers, Sefnaffa. ((hugs))
And ROK posters Do rock!!! Woop! Woop! 😆

North Korean Ambassador-at-Large Dennis “The Worm” Rodman gets teary eyed as Trump and Kim meet:
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/dennis-rodman-weeps-with-joy-over-trump-kim-summit/

NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman gave an emotional, bizarre TV interview on Tuesday reacting to the highly anticipated summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat and sunglasses, Rodman, who has personally visited North Korea multiple times, spoke for roughly 20 minutes about his relationship with Kim and his expectations for the historic meeting between the two leaders as it got underway in Singapore. He began to cry about halfway through the interview, periodically dabbing his nose with a tissue.

“We have really put ourselves on the line to reach out to North Korea and they have been so gracious to me, my family and the United States. So let’s make this happen. If Trump can pull this off, more power to him,” Rodman said on CNN.

Of course, Rodman avoided anything regarding North Korea’s Human Rights record, but so has everyone else. Baby Steps? Hmm…
