Also, have connected the road thru the Chorwon across the DMZ with an improved hard pack gravel road. 12m wide, supports 2 T-62s abreast and a column of troops on each side….nothing like having your enemy clear and proof the breach lanes for you. South Koreans are fools.

The military is not there for “law enforcement” so they should have no restrictions. They are there in a military capacity to protect American borders from invasion by enemy combatant who wield weapons of disease, social unrest, violence against civilians, and economic sabotage.
As for Korea, there should be less concern over a North Korean military invasion that would only happen if leadership was backed into the corner of threatened regime change…
…and more concern of a North Korean civilian invasion if there was something like another famine and North Korean propaganda about South Korea backing down on border defenses suggested it was easier to run south.
