Honestly, I despair of politics. Everywhere has gone mad. Or is there still a good country on this earth, where thinking voters elect honest, wise leaders, who debate civilly and rationally, consult widely, seek unity not division, and do sensible things? Is there? Anywhere?

Seriously? The guy asks that now? Was he living in an isolated Tibetan monastery for the last 60 years?
All we have are Mark 1/Mod. 1 humans. The same critters that fought for and against the Nazis. The same that approve of and recoil in disgust from late-term abortion on demand with no medical justification. The same that put men on the Moon and enslaved people based on skin color, religion, or convenience.
He’s too old to be having a Buddha-like epiphany. It’s a rather pathetic way to deal with life.
May God grant him to never have to choose between treating cancer or paying his mortgage.
