Closest thing we ever did in the Air Force was an occasional Burger King run… 🙁

Tactical dining out? So everyone sits 5 meters apart and covers each other as they eat specially prepared MREs? Even with the strange traditions, (and a turn as the most junior soldier at our table) I’ll take a traditional dining out.

Dinng Out?

I thought the difference between a Dining Out and Dining In was the Dining IN was an exclusively military function but the Dining OUT allowed invited civilian spouses and guests. That looks like a pretty military exclusive function to me.

So, which was it?

Back in my day (2005) we actually were out there for gunnery during Thanksgiving. They invited all the families to RLFC, which at the time were mostly drinky wives (let’s be honest). As per tradition we served dinner to everyone and by the time we were done they ran out of turkey. Life was hard.

Fun fact: I was the first ever customer of the new PX they built and I bought a box of condoms so all the photographers photographed me buying that item haha.

BaseCom vs. The Five Fingers of Death!!!

A Night to Remember. It may well be one of those “Let us never speak of this” events. Or it could be something different.

Let us hope, for the sake of the GIs involved, it’s not A Sauce Packet Too Far (past the expiration date).

As I stated earlier, we never went camping; but the SAC Alert Facility at Griffiss AFB did actually serve rodents (well, rabbit) and it tasted more like fish than chicken

Bon Appetit!

I like Dungeness crab better than the varieties I saw last trip to Noryangjin.

Oh. You meant the 4,legged kay? No thanks. My “stamina” is just fine. And you can’t use the 4-legged variety in cioppino.
