@setnaffa, it was interesting to read in the linked article that the US is now producing more crude oil than Saudia Arabia and Russia due to the shale oil technology that leftists want to shutdown.

Let’s think this through.
America is now energy self-sufficient. America is now an oil EXPORTER.
The middle east supplies oil to Europe, who seems to be in love with Iran more than America (see: the new financial system they just set up to avoid sanctions on Iran (history will show this to be the first shot of WWIV)).
The middle east supplies oil to China. What have they done for us lately?
Iranian disruption (or American disruption because of Iran) is good for America but bad for America’s enemies and fairweather allies.
Soooo… anyone see where this is going?

GI, are there online public records of DMZ incidents 67-68 for 2ID? Looking for something where a patrol got wiped out.
What a depressing life these people must live looking for racism real or imagined around every corner.

Don’t you know, everything a white person ever touched is now racist. 🙄

X Ride out an earthquake.
Too bad I don’t have a bucket list.
That was a pretty concerning 20 seconds this morning! Was out back sweeping the patio and the ground got all violent, the windows were jiggling like rubber, it was hard to see straight from the vibrations. I thought that one we had in Korea back in 2005 was going to be my earthquake experience but sheesh…
Some stuff got broke but…. and there’s another aftershock as I’m typing this. Been having them all day. Anyhoo… we’re out in the county up in the hills and I guess the elevated ground absorbed most of the energy.
Funny how I keep reading online (now that internet’s back up) all these nubs joking about how it should’ve hit harder to “get rid of the libs”, Ridgecrest is a military town that is majority Repub, then Libertar, with a sliver of Demo’s.

Smokes, we’re glad you’re okay; but don’t accept self-applied labels on the internet as factual. There are a large number of “keyboard warriors” who claim to be “true conservatives” yet supported Hillary over Trump for a wide swath of ever-changing reasons. And, as with the recent “Jussie” event in Chicago and the online attacks against gay reporter Andy Ngo, badly beaten by Antifa in Portland, we often find the left is where the hate comes from.
Thirty-three years ago, NASA managers discounted the warnings of senior engineers and we lost the Challenger. In the last year and a half Boeing lost 2 airplanes.

JoeC, you and I probably agree on the dangers of outsourcing to people who will never be your customers or face any repercussions for mistakes.
Anyone know any Church of Christ folks in Korea who might be able to find a Korean version of Mary Ann Kidder’s old hymn “Fear Not Little Flock”?
English version: https://hymnary.org/text/fear_not_little_flock_says_the_savior
Willing to buy a Korean hymnal if necessary.
Trump makes history again. For all we know, he’s liable to get Mexico to pay for the wall, get KJU to denuke, and get Congress to pass legislation that benefits all Americans. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/06/history-president-trump-meets-north-koreas-kim-at-dmz/

@setnaffa, you might want to start here in my archives:

If that doesn’t work than try the Korean War Educator which has a list of service members killed along the DMZ:
http://www.koreanwar-educator.org/topics/dmz/index.htm
Thanks!! 🙂
Wow is all I can say. More than 200 US soldiers killed on the DMZ between 1966 – 1969. And it never really has been well-reported…
I learn something new every day; now the U.S. flag with the original 13 colony stars on it is considered racist:

Careful, Smokes.
You could easily get the nickname Shake&Bake.
