I was trying to determine if that is an alligator or a crocodile but the picture doesn’t really make it clear if you will see it later or see it after while.
But… being that it is on the flightline, it is probably an aerial gharial.

This kind of reminds me of the stories my dad had about a place he lived with a runway covered in snakes.
