Camp Humphreys Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Opening of New Hospital
A facility that was plagued by corruption and mismanagement to construct is closer to fully opening:
After years of delays, the U.S. military held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday for a new, $275 million hospital, marking a turning point in the relocation of most American forces to this expanded base south of Seoul.
The opening of the 68-bed Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital, also known as BAACH, allows its namesake facility on Yongsan Garrison in Seoul to close. The new hospital, which had already offered outpatient services, will officially open for inpatients on Nov. 15.
The U.S. military broke ground for the hospital and ambulatory care center in November 2012 on land that had been used for helicopter hangars. But construction problems and quality control issues filled the years that followed, as the South Korean contractor Samsung C&T Corp. struggled to meet rigid U.S. standards.

Soooo… everyone with a calculator realizes that a quarter billion dollar hospital with only 68 beds is a scam, right?

I thought Mugabe was that gorilla the internet got their panties in a bunch about a few years ago. A google search says he’s a dead dictator of Zimbabwe. Harambe was the gorilla…
It’s worse than that Setnaffa. Mugabe was a comrade of Kim Il-sung. North Korea sent troops to Zimbabwe in the 1980s as practice for its own 1990s genocide. In 1987, Mugabe made himself executive president, making the judiciary subservient to the president.
Stephen, I know. I worked with a couple of people who left Harare before they were forced to go. They had interesting tales to tell. It’s sad that the planned peaceful transition didn’t happen sooner; but uneducated poor people are exactly what the communists like to use for cannon fodder.
Of course, there were a few hiccups in Mugabe’s plans:

War is never a good thing. Fighting people over material things is hateful. Defending one’s country from terrorists–even if the country is imperfect–can be said to be a good thing; but killing is still killing, even if it saves another life. Each of us has to face God on our own–and he knows what our true motivations were/are. We sometimes lie very effectively to each other and ourselves.
Just so everyone understands; hospital and any other YRP construction is ROK funded. So it is the poor Korean taxpayer getting screwed and not the US taxpayer…this time. Unfortunately, i am both.
The 5 million dollar building is ROK funded…
