I think quintupling the costs would be a justifiable increase just for the US troops inside the ROK. And if South Koreans feel as if they’re being rogered, then they now know how the US has felt for decades. Sorry, but no sympathy here, as much as I like and respect John Lee.

5 times increase this time, and then what happens the following year? They’ll be asking 10 times increase. Where is the end? How much would satisfy the US? It’s a high probability there will be no end of demands for more and more money every year. I am no Moon government fan, but I have changed my mind and I now think that what he’s doing (increasing defense spending) and gradually weaning off South Korea from relying on the US military is actually a good move. The US military aren’t going to around forever, and they’ll pack up and go home if they don’t get their money they’re demanding every year. And every year that cost goes up. I’d rather see that same money invested into the South Korean military.

Nobody reads Trump’s books?

Ask for some crazy amount. Pretend to grudgingly accept what they offer… even though it is higher than what you actually wanted.

Come to think of it, my grandfather who sold door-to-door during the Depression and still managed to drive a new car every year taught me this as a child.

With leaks from ROK MND and the blue house, the Koreans prove themselves an unreliable ally on a daily basis…oh and has the ROK Government cleared the road to the THAAD site yet? Yeah, great ally.
