It took hours to get on Humphreys this morning. The backup of cars into the main streets was insane. I don’t know what the local buses did to get our of the traffic jam.

Area IV wasn’t much better. The interrogations take too long.

This was put out on USAG Humphreys facebook today:
“AttentionHumphreys!
Under the current protection measures against COVID-19, military personnel are prohibited from participating in non-essential activities for entertainment. This includes off-post dining in restaurants, bars, clubs or movie theaters. Also, they are to stay away from gatherings larger than 20 people. Restaurant take-out is authorized. The same is recommended for civilian personnel and family members. All on-post activities are authorized.”
🙁

All the FWMR and AAFEES restaurants in Area IV also turned to takeout. Theatre and bowling alleys are closed though.

Just got off the 740 city bus (Seoul). The TV screen that shows ads and PSAs now reads wearing masks is required to use public transportation.

SeoulInfoACS (US Embassy Korea) says ROK flights will temperature screen all passengers destined to USA. You got a high temperature you won’t be allowed to board.

KGS employee who works on Humphreys has the virus 🙁
USFK Patient #7 was the first positive case at Camp Humphreys.
There are a series of protocols in place for when a positive is discovered. It starts with the Trace Team, which tracks the positive persons’ movements.
On 26 Feb. 2020, at 11:30 a.m., the positive case, a KGS employee entered the Starbucks closest to the Main Exchange. She was wearing a black mask and ordered food and a drink. Around noon, she and a friend departed Starbucks and headed into the Exchange, where they visited the cosmetics counter. They were there for a bit and then made their way to the women’s clothing section. The positive case departed at 12:21 p.m. and the friend didn’t leave until 1:04 p.m. From the trace, the two Starbucks employees contacted have been identified, along with the person at the cosmetics counter who had close personal contact. They are all home on quarantine.
From the afternoon of the 26th, until 4 March, the individual was on leave and did not return to Humphreys. This was verified through a number of ways, including DBIDS.
On 5 March, she entered through the gate, and went directly to her office building. There are few people that work in the building (five). She worked until 1 p.m. and then she left for the day.
The individual that tested positive, took the coronavirus test 5 March and the results came back this morning (6 March). When the results came back, that’s when Team Trace was activated. The reason she got the test was because she had some known contacts that tested positive, so she was tested also.
As places where she had been were identified, the Clean Team came in to sterilize them. The office building she worked in has already been cleaned, along with Starbucks and the Exchange.
Out of an abundance of caution, the co-workers have also been sent home for quarantine.
The control measures that have been implemented in Daegu, have led to great success. So we are actively monitoring and have Team Trace working through a number of options and venues, trying to track every single interaction, no matter how brief it was.
Anyone that was in the Starbucks on the 26th, after 11:30 a.m., or any of the places mentioned and you’re not feeling good, handle it by calling the Nurse’s Hotline at 0503-337-2556.

She shouldn’t even be able to enter the PX? No wonder they implemented ID screenings here at Walker.

So the last two times she was on Humphreys she has to go on Admin leave:
She goes to Starbucks and the Px on 26 Feb and starts Admin and Annual Leave that same afternoon. And she returns from leave to go to work on base on 5 March, and works til 1300, and of course after testing positive has to go on Admin leave again. Makes me wonder if the first Admin leave was related to the virus also.
