U.S. Military Personnel Restricted from Non-essential Travel to South Korea
USINDOPACIFIC Command has announced that all non-essential U.S. military and civilian personnel are restricted from traveling to South Korea:
Travel to South Korea is being restricted immediately for all service members and civilians who are nonessential due to the growing cases of coronavirus in the country, the regional military combatant command announced Wednesday.
There are now 1,261 confirmed cases of coronavirus in South Korea, the largest outbreak of the virus outside of China, with 284 new cases reported as of Wednesday, according to the World Health Organization. So far, 12 people have died in the country.

I have a feeling very soon all personnel will be involuntary extended and all orders to Korea will be suspended…
Yeah, patriot express leaving Korea (charter flight that takes military to and from Korea assignments) was denied landing in Japan yesterday.
But they still let families PCS in…
I was just on the 20 bus outside the gate, when an alert went out that an older female from Songhwa-Ri (bondary is 5 minutes walk from the base) has the virus. I still see Americans not wearing masks, (yeah I know cdc doesn’t recommend it unless you have the virus), but I actually feel better seeing everyone wear one because I don’t know (and they might not even know) that they have it, since symptoms might not show up til 10+ days later.
