Which major metro area outside of Korea has the best Korean restaurants?
I have tried Sacramento, San Francisco, LA, Atlanta, NYC, Atlanta, Augusta, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Minneapolis/St Paul, Denver, and Annandale. My favorites so far are in Texas.
The best Korean restaurant I have eaten at outside of Korea was in Melbourne, Australia. The place is called Hwaro and is really good. I haven’t found a place in the U.S. that can compare.

Hanjan is a new entry! Thanks! I never got that far south (the Manhattan K-town was 32nd to 34th streets back when I was there). And most of the places I visited are apparently gone now…

I think I’m slightly jealous of you who have been to Australia. I used to have customers based there and loved listening to the accent. Finding out about Hwaro is just icing on the cake.

Best Korean place I frequented outside of Korea was in Pattaya, Thailand way back in the 1980s and 1990s.
Korea Times reports masks now mandatory for riding public transportation starting tomorrow.
Thing is, there have been no infections on public transportation, so why now? Is this supposed to be better late than never? Thought this whole plandemic was slowing down. Now this?
Up until now, I’ve been one of the few holdouts not wearing a mask on the bus I ride (or anywhere else for that matter). I hate the gd things. A few bus drivers don’t wear them either, but I guess that’s about to change. A few others have the strap around their ears but the mask is under their chin or only covering their mouth. Technically, that’s “wearing a mask”. I’ll give that a shot — see how far it gets me.

Again, a bit of a hike… What about the US?

Overseas Koreans exempted of course.

Bureaucratic nonsense. Bureaucrats are all would-be dictators. I often wish we could do without the lot.
