I have tbe gratest respect for people who went throught that particular “survival school.”
Very thankful Carter didn’t get us into a hot war and my USAF service was all CONUS-based.
The hardships faced by the soldiers on the DMZ made South Korea safe for my wife’s family in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.

Setnaffa, I was in Korea Jan.72-Jan.73. Spent many weeks out in the field, all of the seasons. With the nuke missile everything we did was secret. We had guys sleeping under trucks, on top of hoods and in the back of trucks. No heat. Eating in the rain or snow. We had firing points all around Korea. Cured me of ever wanting to go camping again!

Forgive my involuntary LOL. The USAF Land Survival School cured me of camping any rougher than a Holiday Inn Express in only two weeks… I can only imagine the fun you experienced…
