The lost Indonesian submarine was refitted in the ROK ten years ago.

Not mentioned by Stephen (conveniently) – the sub was a 40 year old German made sub that was revived from a scrap heap, refitted by Daewoo Marines 10 years ago – that Indonesia had neglected maintenance since then. Not only that, the sub had the maximum passenger capacity of 30 people, but it was carrying 53 sailors at the time it went missing.

Anyway I digress.

More bad news for TOK, as South Korea announces that it has signed a new contract with Pfizer to bring in 40 million more doses of vaccines around end of June. More vaccines should be available by July.

http://www.hani.co.kr/arti/society/health/992429.html

It’s a real contract signed and sealed, not a promise of “we will do the best we can when the supplies become available” – as what Japan PM Suga got, in return for volunteering to the US, to be the shield against China. Lol. Delusions of grandeur.

Here’s the English language article on the Vaccine deal that Korea made with the Biden administration (oops I mean Pfizer).

https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2021/04/119_307727.html

With the US restricting exports of US made vaccines, what did South Korea give up in return? Anyone want to guess what that could be? TOK says nothing would have been given up because South Korea has nothing to give up.

Military training is quite dangerous, even with proper maintenance–as many here can attest. We’ve all lost a friend or loved one. Sincere condolences to the family and friends of the lost.

Also, why is Korea buying vaccines “bad news for TOK”? Hard to take the dude/bot seriously.

(Some of) you guys are pretty smart.

What should be done in this situation?

My friend has an abusive and controlling husband. Even though we tell her his action is not normal, even crazy and dangerous, she does exactly what he demands and won’t stand up to him.

He won’t let her visit any friends or family. He has made her stop all contact with them unless it’s on the phone or computer. Then he reads all of her communication with them and even censors her comments on social media.

He makes her feel like she’s going crazy for thinking he’s controlling and that she is being ungrateful. (After all, he’s only doing this because of how much he cares about her.)

He doesn’t want her going to the gym anymore, so she doesn’t go. He also doesn’t let her go to work anymore (he told her to only rely on him for income and that he will take care of her).

She’s not really allowed to go out anymore, unless it’s for necessities, and when she does, he makes sure to have people guilt trip her about it and shame her for it.

He wants her to have an elective medical procedure done and tells her that if she does it, he will allow her more freedoms.

He constantly says he’s only doing all of this because he cares and he is just doing it for her own good.

Oh wait… did I say her husband?

I meant her government.

You have been conditioned to be outraged if a man does this to his wife, but be passive and compliant when the government does it to you.

Think about that long and hard.

Do you have abused wife syndrome?

The US slams South Korea’s Moon as a weak leader ripping off the United States of billions of dollars per year, but the US likes North Korea’s Kim as a strong respectable leader.

Any Chemist worth his/her salt will tell you Formaldehyde in the water will damage Submarine components. Bad choice to do it in Korea.

Yes Korean Man why would Korea getting extra Pfizers be “bad news” for me?

While we are on the subject of vaccines, yes the Moon administration may not have to do an embarrassing diplomatic favor to the US by ceasing their efforts to get apologies and extra compensation from Japan. However, they may have to grant Lee Jaeyong a presidential pardon and/or agree to look the other way if and when Samsung does anything illegal, which will pretty much go against their basic platform.

GI Korea, please delete my first comment. I submitted but there was no response, assumed it was a system error and submitted again with a different link.

Now it has appeared after a day, but since the link in my second comment sums up what I wanted to say, the first comment is redundant.

That could leave a mark…

“If you have a QNAP NAS, unplug it from the network, unplug the power, unplug all the drives, and probably just kind of leave it that way.

They thought that the reason they were all getting infected with ransomware was that there was a SQL injection vulnerability. Reasonable belief because there was a SQL injection vulnerability.

Turns out though that the vector was a hard-coded login for the backup service. Username walter. Password walter.”
