Five Arrests Made for Growing Cannabis at Korean Day Care Center

I wonder if this day care center had the calmest kids in Korea?:

Five people have been detained on suspicions of violating the law on narcotics for allegedly growing cannabis at a daycare center and several wetland sites along the west coast, the Korea Coast Guard said Monday.

Fourteen others were booked without physical detention for purchasing marijuana from them and using it.

The five people allegedly grew 13 cannabis plants in the hallway, back yard and on the rooftop of a daycare center run by the mother of one of them from March to July last year. The Coast Guard did not specify the location of the center.

Turned in by the competition? Or just forgot to grease all the necessary palms?

I wonder when the Korean government is going to realize canna is not a narcotic.

nar·cot·ic: a drug or other substance that affects mood or behavior and is consumed for nonmedical purposes, especially one sold illegally.

Nice try, pothead.

I heard if you get caught with marijuana in Korea they chop off your hands and boil your tongue as punishment.

No, Moosenuckle.

They restrict your movements, isolate you from friends, inhibit your breathing, suck all the fun out of life, and destroy all your favorite small businesses.

…oh… wait. That’s the punishment for being alive.

No telling what they do for narcotics… it must be REALLY bad.

The only folks I ever heard about using pot in Korea were Canadian Hagwan employees. But times change. Lots of naive people willing to poison themselves for a “cheap” high.

Nothing wrong with pot. No poison there. Yet cigarettes and alcohol are ok.

Science-denying paint-chip munchers aside, pot induces psychosis in teens and preteens, has more carcinogens than tobacco (and who filters their joints?). And as an ex-drinker and ex-smoker who, like Mickey Mantle, wishes I’d taken better care of myself when younger.

Strawman arguments aren’t supposed to be made of straw that’s already passed through the bovine…

Even Google can provide actual facts instead of paraquat delusions.

BTW, pot is a gateway drug, regardless of how many personal anecdotes one wants to publish. Skunkweed has destroyed more careers than alcoholism.

Do yer own research. Start with Arcata, California. Compare crime rates in 1968, ’78, ’88, ’98, 2008, ’18…

Then do Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, et cetera ad nauseum.

I am a MASSIVE fan of the Devil’s lettuce.

Not for me, mind you, but because I don’t want to pay a lot to be served my fries. And I don’t want the server to be sullen and questioning why he is serving fries instead of driving off in a nice car.

Same for crack… keeps the price of BJs around 5 dollars.

“But but but this guy I know’s friend’s cousin smokes all the time and he makes like over a hundred grand a year.”

Sure. There are all sorts of guys who can function through dysfunction. But generally speaking, there is a pretty good relationship between amount of weed consumed and productivity.

And for the most part, the guys whining around about how great weed is and how it should be legal and cheap and sold in elementary school vending machines, are generally obvious losers whenever you listen to anything else they say.

For the record, I am all for legal weed… at least in America. We tried a War on Drugs and the drugs won.

As society stratifies to the Havealls, Havesomes, and Havelittles, not by race or class or education, but by ability to create value, primarily through productivity, weed will be one of the things that will help speed up and maintain this division.

Smoke up!
