Even though there was some corruption in Rhee Syngman’s government, those Koreans who sacrificed themselves trying to slow down or stop the tanks with IEDs and even hand-held mortar rounds they tried to place on the treads more than made up for it. They represent the best traditions of any loyal military, and gave their lives to save those depending on them.
Even though Mr. Stanton is generally 100% on issues Korean, I would rather we speak more of the heroes than the villains. We still have plenty of villains. We need to give kids a group of real heroes to honor and emulate. And the country needs ro remember that the heroes of the Korean War can from many nations.
