He moved out of the Blue House because he didn’t reckon on how bad Korean civil engineers are with implementing proper drainage. This is a constant problem for a lot of us who live in Seoul (my local bike paths are currently all flooded out), but it’s arguably a more serious—even deadly—problem outside of the big cities. I’m safe where I live, which is somewhat uphill from the Tan-cheon and Yangjae-cheon, but what about others with properties that sit lower?

We had a ground floor apt in Itaewon that flooded slightly (mostly just the entryway) during heavy rains, and it was halfway up the slope between the butcher’s shop and the old “Roadside Bar”.

I’m frankly disappointed at Kevin Kim.
For someone who lives in Korea and has much more knowledge about the local going ons and such compared to let’s say setnaffa, I would have thought he would be well versed about the real reason why Yoon moved out of the Blue House. (It wasn’t because of the BS that he wanted change and to communicate better.)
If he truly wanted change and to communicate better, it would have been better for him instead to go to Sejong, where there is already office space set up for him in a government building, not kick out the Defense Ministry and make a big ruckus based on dubious reasons.
And trying to cover up Yoon’s controversial move based on poor drainage is I am afraid what setnaffa does all the time in regards to Yoon. Find excuses for his incompetence and look the other way simply because he doesn’t belong to the DPK.
I know Kevin Kim harbors right wing views like many Korams, but IMO maybe a bit of research and thought before comments like the above would have been called for.

I would also like to ask the right wing members of the ROK Drop.
How would you feel if a US President one day out of the blue decided to kick the DOD out of the Pentagon and move the West Wing there based on the reason of achieving change and to communicate better?

I guess Korean Person didn’t sense the facetiousness of my comment. Thanks for playing, Mr. Spock.

@Kevin,
Humorless scolds are humorless.
