It’s easier than fixing the drainage… And it makes those extra apartments owned by the rich just that much more valuable…

And expensive to rent. .

I am really glad to see this… it has been a long time coming.

A family of three retards (literally) don’t have the sense to get out of their flooded basement and now all basement dwellers in a city of over ten million get evicted.

Good job, government.

I think the real joy here is how poor people generally live in basement apartments and it is always a pleasure to see more trauma and expense brought upon the poor.

Perhaps a subsidy will help them get a 1st floor home.

But that won’t be equitable to the 1st floor dwelling working poor so they need a subsidy to move to a higher apartment.

The people they displace will need a subsidy to move to a better neighborhood.

And a fat tax break for the wealthy will dull the pain of having stupid poor people getting closer to everything they have worked smart and hard for.

I wonder why the government doesn’t just print more money so everyone can be rich.
