Picture of the Day: Remembering the Recapturing of Seoul

I have no memory of that event. But I have read about brave men who risked their lives to stop the slaughter of innocents and push the communist oppressors back north. Twice. Men from dozens of countries. Men of all shades of skin color. Men who loved freedom for others more than they loved their own lives.
That’s what I remember.
And yes, Seoul — and much of the rest of South Korea — is a great place to live and/or be a tourist. I haven’t been back since 2014; but I hope to get back and visit the inlaws, some day. Air prices are far too dear at the moment.
Sadly, the people just north are led by a rather unpleasant syndicate. I hope the people wake up and remove the thorn from their flesh. It may not require killing anyone, just getting them really drunk, putting them on a boat, and shipping them to China.
