It's nothing about Korea. It's something about crowds, diffusion of responsibility, and catastrophic failure to see danger coming from a ****ing mile away.
The video of the one white guy climbing out of the self-destructive madness has empowered some to note a higher level of non-comformity in western culture explains why they are explorers, conquerors, and survivors while much of the world sits around complaining for generations while life remains cheap.
After watching the ridiculously ignorant pointless and self-destructive conformity of the vaxtards, I’m not sure I am fully on-board to put on my Nazi uniform and yell about the superiority of the White Man’s Culture.
But there is about a 17% spread… 70% of Americans vs 87% of Koreans with at least one shot… so perhaps this is enough to demonstrate a slight edge in self-preservation and the desire to control the environment rather than let the environment control you.
Wait… what? American blacks have a vaccination rate of only 49%.
Ah… uh… well… that isn’t because they are smart. It is because of… uh… racism.
Narrerator: And it was also in the collective black American memory that when a smiling government representative arrived and offered free medical treatments they were more like experiments than treatments. White vaccine recipients expected their white privilege to protect them but in the woke society of the day, they were actually the targets of the experiments more than the other races.

What lefties like Rob don’t realize is that it’s possible to say “Koreans do X” without implying that “it’s only Koreans who do X.” Example: you hear some cultural claim like “Irish folks love to drink and sing!”—and along comes a PC ninny who says, “You can’t say that because it’s not just the Irish who like to drink and sing!” But the person making the original claim never implied that the cultural trait was unique to the Irish. Still, it happens to be true about the Irish, and it’s no less true just because another group shares that trait. I get tired of the language/thought police telling me what to say and think. Rob is a nice guy; I’ve interacted with him before. But in this instance, he’s showing that the PC mind-virus has him in its grip.
The larger issue is the leftist-postmodernist hatred of “essentialism,” which is the label always applied to general claims of any sort. The American left, influenced by PoMo, hates general claims, the technical term for which (in PoMo language) is “totalizing metanarratives.” Of course, saying that totalizing metanarratives are across-the-board invalid is itself to espouse a totalizing metanarrative, but PoMo lefties often cut the legs out from their own arguments.

Precisely. Young people in large crowds are more dangerous to each other, especially when their life has not trained them to be self-aware and self-disciplined.
I saw no serious injury or permanent disfigurement.
I like movies with a happy ending.

The collapse occurred at a sloped alley. The incline is pretty steep, enough for you to ride down on a sleigh if there was snow.
It was freak occurrence, likely resulting from intentional push by some idiots from behind. Hindsight is 20/20 and of course after the fact it makes perfect sense for cops to blockade that alley given that a domino effect is more likely there. But there were even more people in 2017 and no one died there. Blindsides are always easier to address once they actually bite you.
Finally some sense had been injected into this.
