U.S. and ROK Air Forces Conduct Joint Drills in Waters Off the Korean Peninsula
|This is a standard playbook response to North Korean missile launches from the U.S. and the ROK that has training value, but has done nothing to deter the Kim regime’s nuclear and missile programs:
South Korea and the United States conducted combined air drills, involving U.S. B-52 strategic bombers and F-22 stealth fighters, on Tuesday, in an effort to strengthen the credibility of America’s “extended deterrence,” Seoul’s defense ministry said.
The drills took place in the South’s air defense identification zone southwest of its southern island of Jeju amid tensions caused by the North’s launch of two medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBM) on Sunday.
The South’s F-35A stealth jets and F-15K fighters also joined the drills.

B-52s don’t need to penetrate DPRK borders to cause fatal harm to the Norkistani gummint, even without mushroom clouds; but this is more about showing the ill-manner chubby dude that his talliwacker is too short, bald, and skinny.
I have a lot of experience with B-52s and I was always shocked at the carelessness, sloppiness, and general unprofessionalism I witnessed.
It seems like even good people go bad eventually when involved with B-52s.
I never saw any evidence of strategic planning. Every response to any event was reactionary and poorly thought out.
The rate of interpersonal conflict seemed higher than in the general population.
B-52 have been around a long time but they are overpriced in comparison to their return.
And I have seen more than one go down in flames.
I can honestly see why some people think even the P-38 Lightning is better.
I am proud of my work building B-52s but I am not really proud of the result.
If I could leave you all with one tip, please float Grand Marnier on the Bailey’s and Kahlúa instead of using Triple sec… and Bacardi 151 tastes terrible, especially if set on fire.
