Korean First Lady Under Attack By Political Opposition for Stock Trades Made Over A Decade Ago

The Korean left are continuing their attacks on the first lady:

Kim Keon-hee

The office of President Yoon Suk Yeol again rejected stock manipulation allegations involving first lady Kim Keon Hee on Tuesday as the main opposition party stepped up its calls for a special prosecutor investigation.

The main opposition Democratic Party (DP) has vowed to push for a special probe into the first lady after a court last week acquitted financiers in the stock manipulation scheme involving Deutsch Motors Inc., a BMW car dealer in South Korea, citing the expiration of the statute of limitations.

The DP has long accused Kim of playing the role of a financier and having her stock account managed and used in the manipulation.

But the court’s acquittal of the financiers makes it unnecessary to look into related suspicions related to the first lady for dealings covered between December 2009 and September 2010, a period where the statute of the limitations has expired.

Yonhap

You can read more at the link, but according to the Presidential office the lead investor who made 455 stock trades during this timeframe was found innocent by the court while Kim Keon-hee made only 3 trades. So the logic is how can 3 trades be considered stock manipulation when 455 trades is not?

To me this all seems like payback for the prosecutors continuing their investigation into the opposition leader Lee Jae-myung for his alleged corrupt dealings as the Gyeongi province governor.

One could suspect much of the conflict between “left” and “right” is more of a nationals vs globalists issue.

The “left” (whatever that means) has been promised a global paradise of (insert what they really want here) if they will condemn nationalism, patriotism, culturalism, independence, self-sufficiency, true education, getting ahead through hard work, etc.

Leftist politicians are particularly attracted to the promise of being a player on the world stage, as their fantasy policies never quite work on a national scale. If only they had the world FORCING their policies on their everyone back home, they would work for sure.

The sabotage of anybody trying to do anything positive for their own country, especially at the expense of the global ruling elite, must be brought down any way possible.

President Yoon hasn’t done anything amazing… but he hasn’t screwed anything up.

As politicians go, that is amazing enough.

Inaction is the best we can generally get out of government.

What? This is a joke right? He has only offered up Korea’s entire economy to the US’s IRA blackmails to Make America Great Again. Yoon singlehandedly destroyed all of South Korea’s savings and destroyed any hope of economic recovery. What has South Korea gained out of all the sacrifices it made to the US? Nothing. Absolutely zilch. He hasn’t screwed up anything? ha ha.. that has to be a joke. If America thinks that it can rake in all the money at the expense of its allies, and not be negatively affected down the road, they are sorely mistaken. Like it or not, forced economic hollowing out of Korea and Europe, for the sole benefit of the US, isn’t going to mean the US will get to keep all the forcibly appropriated riches for itself in the long run. It will only mean that we’re all going to get poorer, because the US also depends on the sales of its products and services to other markets of the world.

What GI Korea posted is one side of the story.

There is however another sid.e to the story

(Translated from a KBS News story)

Among these transactions, 106 transactions were conducted under the name of Mrs. Kim, and 178 were actual transactions. As the court ruled that transactions up to October 20, 2010 were dismissed, only 50 cases of unlawful and disguised transactions and one case of actual transaction remained as objects of guilt or innocence.

However, looking at the verdict, the court recognized 48 of them as ‘guilty’ for 48 cases of unlawful government and disguised trading, and 1 case of actual transaction. Of course, it seems that further investigations will have to be done to determine whether this illegal activity was ‘directly’ by Mrs. Kim or the person entrusted with her account.

The question of whether the First Lady is involved or not is still up in the air and the statue of limitation for some of the dealings have not expired, so unless she comes clean, she’s fair game for those who want her to be investigated.

However the bigger questions are

Are the prosecutors doing their jobs and investigating this thoroughly or are they politicizing this case and avoiding investigating the First Lady because they don’t want to piss off the President?

In which case the prosecutors will have a problem on their hands.

Did Yoon know about this and did he order prosecutors to go easy on the First Lady?

In which case Yoon is liable for impeachment and further criminal investigation.

Maybe the above is the reason why GI Korea wants the First Lady to be seen as innocent?

For some reason whenever I put up a news link it goes into the Awaiting for approval.

And it’s one link not two.

Of course. GI Korea wants to protect the US lackey so that the US can take advantage of the dump lackey who is bankrupting the country.

GI Korea also conveniently left out the fact that the former CEO of Deutsche Motors was found guilty of stock manipulation

The former head of Deutsch Motors, a BMW car dealer in Korea, was convicted and given a suspended prison term on Friday for manipulating the company’s stock prices.

Interesting.

The system seems to be filtering out non-English web page links.

You guys are making this way too complicated.

IMO, GI Korea has a thing for overly plastic surgeried Korean women and has fantasies about fooking the current First Lady.

You can tell by his previous posting of an overly big picture of her in her plastic surgeried glory and his constant blind defense of her.

The stockmarket always seems rigged to transfer wealth from retail investors to institutional investors and those who feed them information or can do them favors.

When a big part of the economy is based on manipulating what is bought and sold, the first thing to be bought is politicians and the first thingnto be sold is integrity.

What is to be done? Jail her? Stock manipulation is fundementally theft from those who were playing by the rules.

Unfortunately, the rich and famous will just hide it better.

Every truly rich Korean hides assets in the names of their sadsack schooldays friends they can trust as it is.

Actually saw one try to withdraw funds. The banker was on to the phone to the true owner immediately… so now I know the bankers are in on it.

Actually, everyone is in on it…

…except you and your broke àss.

A solution might be that you can choose politics or you can choose money but you cannot have both.

That will work for a while.

Smart and rich people don’t play by the rules. They play by the loopholes… that are intentionally there… just gotta pay someone to bring you through them.

Once I understood there are no real rules, life got easier.
