South Korea Ends Free COVID Testing
|Just another example of how COVID has become normalized:
As South Korea reclassifies COVID-19 to the same category as the seasonal flu starting Thursday, coronavirus tests will still be available, but will no longer be free of charge to everyone, health authorities said Wednesday.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency has announced that COVID-19 will go down from class 2 to class 4, the lowest infectious disease category, bringing changes to state policies that have provided COVID-19 testing for free and discounted medical benefits for more than three years.
Prior to the planned reclassification, the government covered the complete expense of the rapid antigen test for individuals with symptoms at local clinics. People only paid a medical examination fee for doctors ranging from 4,000 won to 6,000 won ($3-4.5). However, after COVID-19’s reclassification to class 4, most people — with the exception of high-risk individuals — must pay for the entire cost of the RAT, ranging from 20,000 won to 50,000 won per test from Thursday.

Let’s hope there’s no dark talk of re-masking or possible injection mandates as seems to be happening in some parts of the US. Overall, I think South Korea’s response to the pandemic was saner than the US blue states’ response. Overall.
“South Korea’s response to the pandemic was saner than the US blue states”
I sucked that dìck but it wasn’t a big dìck.
Kevin – Recall how globally coordinated all the restrictions were. Once a restriction started in the US, the rest of the world followed. Social distancing, isolating, quarantining, masking, closures, essential and non-essential, vaccinating, then vaccine passports.
For the most part, the US ran point on all the above. Point is: Once masking is reimplemented in the US, it’ll be here in Korea in no time.
Side note: The CDC just shut down both VAERS and V-SAFE. They said VAERS was old and unreliable because patients (victims?) input the data. So they came out with a better and more reliable V-SAFE. But they shut that down in July as well.
If that, alone, doesn’t scare everyone, I don’t know what does.
“If that, alone, doesn’t scare everyone, I don’t know what does.”
Doesn’t scare me.
The vaccine may or may not be Safe & Effective, but that’s not my problem.
The new vaccine may or may not be Safe & Effective. That won’t be my problem either.
I am no longer anti-vax.
Anybody who still wants one should have as many as they think is best… and for their kids as well.
Anything that promotes vaccine hesitancy is counter-productive to one of the few thing the globalists and I agree on.
Stay Safe & Effective, my friends.
McGeehee, it looks like VAERS is still up (when I went to the website there is a report feature). Am I missing something? Where did you hear this?
– Chickenhead –
It’s not my business what you do in your own spare time. But did you remember to wipe your mouth?
Shucks, no need to wipe my mouth.
I was just quoting your mom.
And CH, she was right. I’m not all that big…
Call the Life Flight!
We got one incoming to the burn unit!
This appears to be the situation with V-safe and VAERS.
V-safe, a functional and paid-for system that made reporting easy, has been shut down.
The CDC claims they are working on a new V-safe.
This may be nothing more than the usual government fraud, waste, and abuse wealth transfer… rearranging the furniture and charging a premium.
Any statistics generated by reporting systems have been manipulated anyway, so it is unlikely there is any fear of collecting data… unless it is too terrible to hide.
VAERS seems to be operation but, unlike V-safe, does everything possible to discourage reporting. It started out as “ten times underreported” and ended up “hundreds of times” once the tinfoil had crowd was done.
Like everything else… who knows the truth?
No reason to care now.
– We know covid only kills certain demographics (none of which I am a member)
– We know the vaccine does not/cannot/will not work. (“But they didn’t know the virus would mutate.” Uh-huh.)
– We know the people who didn’t take the last ineffective vaccine will not take the next ineffective vaccine. They didn’t get stupider or less aware.
– We know a lot of people who took the last vaccine out of compliance rather than stupidity now have observation to guide their next decision.
– We know the people who still want more vaccine will advance science, as lab rats are inclined to do. And it is probably better for society if they are exposed to something even less safe than it is effective.
The only damger is that greed, power, and mental illness will try to force the new vaccine on those (likely a large majority) who are not interested.
(Anybody here want to make a case for getting the next vaccine? Anybody want to admit, at best, it was pointless? Anybody want to forget 2020 and 2021 ever happened and that I would shut up about it?)
I am exposing myself to every covid case I run across these days. So far, nothing. (They have all been vaxxed, boosted, and (except one) had covid before).
Let’s see where this goes.
If society complies with the same self-destructive programs they complied with last time, let the world burn.
I sucked that dìck but it wasn’t a big dìck.
And CH, she was right. I’m not all that big…
What can we learn from those two statements?
“setnaffa is gay, which makes setnaffa a hypocrite”
Yer mom’s a dude?
Everything is becoming more clear.
In reply to Liz’s question:
https://www.theepochtimes.com/article/cdc-quietly-removes-covid-vaccine-adverse-events-reporting-from-website-5481759
Above article reports V-Safe shutdown and problems with VAERS but does not its shutdown.
Mcgeehee therefore issues a correction ref VAERS. It is not shutdown, and was easily verified. Yes, lesson learned.
No worries, McGeehee I was just curious.
Sometimes I miss things (often really).
It wouldn’t surprise me if they cancelled it, but I wanted to make sure.
