3rd ACR Makes First Ever Deployment to South Korea

There is a new rotational brigade in South Korea:

A Texas-based cavalry regiment took over as the 2nd Infantry Division’s rotational force in South Korea during a ceremony roughly 15 miles from the Demilitarized Zone that divides the Korean Peninsula. The 3rd Cavalry Regiment, of Fort Cavazos, Texas, assumed its new role from 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team in front of about 350 troops gathered Thursday at Hanson Field House on Camp Casey. The Stryker team returns to Fort Carson, Colo., having completed its nine-month deployment.

Do they bring their own equipment or assume the stuff already in-country? I always wondered about that.

So, the US sends a Stryker brigade to face down the heavy armored masses of North Korea.

What does this mean?

The US doesn’t care about Korean security.

The Stryker brigade enables the US to say that they have boots on the ground in Korea while ensuring that they are light enough to scoot back to their ships waiting in Busan should things get hot.

Another reason why Korea shouldn’t depend on the US for its security and instead adopt a strong self-defense based on robust nuclear deterrence.

“…while ensuring that they are light enough to scoot back to their ships waiting in Busan should things get hot.”

Are you an American general?

You sound like one… ready to fight WW3 with WW2 tactics.

Russia has lost two major ships to remote control jetskis packed with explosives.

The moment Abrams went into battle, Russia started taking them out with drones that cost less than a Pentagon toilet seat… 3 this this week.

Whatever the case, they had better scoot fast.

It is quite unclear how long there will be ships in Busan.
