Denouncing probe into ex-President Moon’s bank accounts
Lawmakers of the main opposition Democratic Party, who previously worked at the presidential office of former President Moon Jae-in, hold a news conference at the National Assembly in Seoul on Aug. 16, 2024. They denounced the prosecution for tracking the bank accounts of Moon and his wife, Kim Jung-sook, in relation to an ongoing investigation into their former son-in-law, who was employed as an executive director at the Thailand-based budget carrier Thai Eastar Jet following the appointment of the firm’s founder Lee Sang-jik as head of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency in 2018. This whingy complaint would mean more if the so-called “Democratic Party” had not used extraordinary means to investigate every member of the “People Power Party” and the “Grand National/Saenuri Party” for things that were even less relevant.

Look you: if your team acts like gormless, feckless, pusillanimous cornholes when in power, you really can’t complain when you get the same medicine served back on the same plates. Eat hearty, bucko, and flush twice…

Meanwhile, Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping are probably laughing their arses off.
