South Korea is indeed a wonderful place. Wife and I just got back after three weeks in Pyeongtaek, with road trips to mountain parks and East Sea beaches.

The ecocomy is starting to revive under Yoon and many new restaurants and other businesses are popping up.

Sadly, we had to borrow a phone from in-laws to call a taxi; but the buses and trains are still working well. In fact, public transportation in Korea works better than any place in the US or Europe.

Keep up the great work, Korea!!

Ha! Had I known, I would have come up for a seasonally appropriate beverage.

That would be beer in seasons that end in g,r,l and water for other letters.

I wonder if the polls can be believed.

Trump is ahead on the betting sites, which is probably a more accurate reflection of reality. Team Kamala cries manipulation. They don’t cry that over “how were we so wrong” polls.

In 2016, the Democrats believed their own polling lies and didn’t cheat enough. I wish Hillary a long life so she can think about how close she came to being historical rather than a footnote. Every bitter rant bring a smile to my face.

There is a great deal of circumstantial evidence that the 2020 election was won by Biden through fraud. A good indication is the Republicans wanted everything to be transparent and the Democrats have worked hard to conceal everything. Those who succeed rub the evidence of success in the faces of their detractors. Those who conceal everything are hiding their dishonesty. This rule is pretty universal. It applies here. If you don’t see this clearly, you are stupid or willfully ignorant. At the very least, you should be asking yourself why it happened like this and being skeptical if you can’t come up with a reasonable answer.

Let’s see what happens in this election. Lots of people are watching. It appears Trump is ahead enough the quantity of cheating required by the other team is not possible.

But the Deep State / Administrative State has pushed through some amazing insanity and everyone went along. Everything involving covid comes to mind. Part of society is still going along.

The 19th amendment, which allowed women to vote, was ratified 104 years ago. For women under 30, the biggest voting issue is the ability to kill their babies.

Perhaps we need to admit to ourselves that this experiment failed.

It is the 4th most popular issue for women in general.

Inflation, threats to democracy, and border security are the top 3.

It is unclear what “threats to democracy” means. Looking deeper, a big part of it means government taking away women’s ability to kill their babies. Girl logic.

But I hear you, sister. My firearm is in the same position.

Whatever the case, Team Biden, or whoever is actually running the country, has a lot of time to burn America down before Trump gets into office. They have been creating insane and unserviceable amounts of debt in 2024. Now they are do all sorts of horrible things that will be hard for Trump to reverse.

Expect a crazy number of invaders to cross the border right after the election.

We might even get into a war before Trump takes office. Everything is set up for that, as American military is now in Israel, with many gathered around a sweet, sweet THAAD target.

I like the way THAAD sounds with a ghay lisp. Try it.

“Oh my god, Thaaaaad, your mithile isth so harrrrrd.

As we have just seen one out of three cheap low-flying drones successfully strike targets in Israel, it isn’t unreasonable to believe the THAAD is vulnerable.

Isreal already lost a Raytheon X-band radar in the Iranian missile attack. The full video is quite impressive, as you see the missile streak in. Here is a screenshot a few fractions of a second later.

The election and the middle east are going to be exciting!

GI, the truth here is an elusive thing.

We know something got precisely hit with a missile.

Does it look like the radar it is claimed to be? That is unclear. We have all seen grainy pictures of things that don’t really look like what we know them to be. And we have seen thing that aren’t something they look like.

There is some claim this is the radar system in traveling configuration. One can see that if one wants to. But one can also see a face on Mars. So who knows.

What other indicators are there?

Was such a radar even in Israel, in preparation for use? No idea. Maybe this can be deduced with effort. There are only 7 THAAD system, though maybe there are more radar?

Was it just sitting by the side of the road? We know a lot of stuff was hastily moved around in preparation for the attack. Possible.

Could Iran track and target it that accurately? Amazing if they could.

So the situation is hard to know.

The most interesting aspect is the response.

Unlike the denials in other aspects of the attack, everyone pretended nothing happened.

That’s odd enough to get attention.

Here is the photo of what it is and what it is claimed to be (not in traveling configuration, where it does look more like… maybe it could be.)

Besides all this, the important point is something got hit quite precisely. If Iran were to know where a THAAD is sitting, count the number of tubes it has, and send double that number of missiles, that is the end of THAAD.

And things go on from there.

Pyeongtaek, with road trips to mountain parks and East Sea beaches.

Pyongtaek is located on the West Coast of Korea. There are lovely West Sea beaches such as Boryeong.

Yet chose to drive four hours to the East Coast of Korea when he could go to Boryeong which is a one hour drive from Pyongtaek?

Considering @Mcgeehee made a comment about Texas and Pyongtaek, I have no doubt that has made up his ludicrous story about being in Korea.

The ecocomy is starting to revive under Yoon and many new restaurants and other businesses are popping up.

More evidence that has not been to Korea and doesn’t Korea.

Because Yoon cut taxes for the rich, there’s a shortfall in government revenue which is being compensated by cuts in government spending.

One of those cuts affects provincial government efforts to support local businesses.

As such businesses are closing since provincial governments cannot support local businesses.

Yoon is killing local businesses but praises him because he needs Yoon to remain in power and ensure that USFK stays in Korea forever.

ChickenHead

Government should not be supporting local business in the first place.

Business that can’t do business needs to close rather than expect to be kept alive by taxpayers.

Government needs to leave business alone, as government interference is one of the big reasons business can’t do business.

Keep in mind, the economy, especially for small business, is fully the fault of Globalist Moon assisting the multinationals in destroying Korean small business.

What people blame on incompetent covid policy was actually intentional and malevolent covid policy.

But I agree with Korea Man, based on my single economic survey method that has been a good reflection of the economy for years, I count the number of for rent signs in entertainment areas… and the economy is not doing well. There are more vacant properties than I have ever seen.

Part of this is because the landlords still want to charge rent based on the 2019 economy. The market doesn’t think that is coming back soon.

Military base economics are not the same, though. Maybe things are going well there.

DOD appears to be preparing for a Trump victory and is setting itself up for some house cleaning. There were changes brought in with the Biden administration that are currently in the process of being quietly rolled back. I value my privacy and career, so won’t be going into details, but am wondering if others here are seeing a similar shift in DOD.

ChickenHead

Setnaffa, after consideration, the best method is with a public/private key encryption… and then communicate in the open.

It takes about 10 lines of python to generate this. I will write a program and post it here… generate keys, encode, decode messages… with a nice tkinter interface (which will be more code than the program)

Cut/paste/run.

Now, you have a public and private key.

You can post your public key here for all to see. You keep your private key a secret.

Public keys encode. Private keys decode.

I will use your public key to encode a message.

You will cut and paste my message into the program I send along with your private key to decode it

I will give you my public key and we can just send messages back and forth here while the codebreakers burn up tax dollars trying to crack my best dĂck and fart jokes.

I suspect Korea Man et al., are using encryption already, as nothing they say makes sense.

ChickenHead

Setnaffa (or anyone else) here is a quick and dirty program to generate RSA key pairs, a program to encode a message, and a program to decode a message.

Put all this in a directory. Generate your key pairs. Move your public key to a subdirectory. You will give that out but never use it. Move the generation program to a subdirectory. You don’t want to overwrite your established key pair.

You now have an encrypt and decrypt program.

Put my public key in the directory. Write me a message (it is just a line for input but you can pipe a text file or cut and paste). The message will be encoded with my public key.

Cut and paste the message here. I will save it to a text file, put it into my directory, and decrypt it with my private key.

I can then send a message to you once you post your public key.

Never give out your private key.

Key size is 2048. This is quite secure now but be aware it is not futureproof. Less so, once quantum computing takes off.

I’m curious too. Hope someone else weighs in on this. Mike has been out of the service for 6 years now. Though we still know a few people in, I doubt it’s a subject they’d discuss casually. I can say when Trump was in there were a LOT of changes (IMO for the better…much much better but it did make folks at the Pentagon nervous). Not before he was in though (they expected a Hillary victory I’m sure).

Setnaffa, corporate says those are the same keys.

That is odd.

The key is generated with a random seed based on computer entropy. This means it samples various states of your computer, such as time and mouse movement.

A deterministic key can be added, but you should get random key pairs every time.

Let’s give it a try.

I have also generated new keys, as I will run this on a different computer.

Russiabot is not an insult.

I understand why Russia did what they did. I sympathize with it. The entire thing is unfortunate and avoidable. The cool kids egged the spaz kid to talk shít to the bully and he got his áss kicked.

Currently, nothing Russia is doing is against my interests.

Russia is against the interests of companies like BlackRock which does do things against my interests.

Objectively, who makes more sense? Those pushing child trannies or those who aren’t? America has gone crazy and Russia has not. Actually, Russia has always been crazy but America has out-crazied them.

Further, it may not be a bad thing to have an alternative financial system. America has abused their dominance by weaponizing the American dollar against “terrorists, drug dealers, and money launderers” but there seems no shortage of those, nor loopholes for those who can afford them. There are restrictions on the Little People. It results in fines and confiscations, mostly for victimless “crimes”.

Forcing America to be competitive and responsible is a good thing.

It doesn’t require Russian robotics to hope that tough love will force America to do things correctly.

Well, the chinabot has proven itself less than human. Or just lazy. As if the mud beach was more desirable than the clean shores of the East Sea.

Granted, there is great seafood on both coasts; but not knowing about the fishing town south of the mud beach (look it up, it’s not my job to feed a CCP LLM) effectively counters any claims of being a Korean living in South Korea.

And the mountain parks are closer to the east coast as well.

C’est la vie. We see leftists making own goals almost hourly these days.

As if the mud beach was more desirable than the clean shores of the East Sea.

I have to agree that the East Sea beaches and the sea are prettier but to dismiss West beaches as “mud beaches” shows that knows nothing about Korea.

About the half of the beaches below are located on the West coast of Korea and some of them are nice sandy beaches to boot.

As you all know, the notion that a Korean can memorize every fishing village in Korea is ludicrous and racist to boot.

The only person that will know for sure is the person that visited it. But if who visitied or claimed to have visited refuses to say the name of that village we can safely assume that he is lying and made up the entire story.

. There are a lot of great sandy beaches on the West Coast of Korea. Some has been visited by foreigners such as yourself and they created blogs and web pages about them. Look it up since it is not my job to feed a Russian LLM.

but not knowing about the fishing town south of the mud beach

To say the every Korean should know the name of every Korean fishing village is racist and ludicrous.

Someone who claimed to have visited that village or town should have no qualms about saying out the name of that village or town.

However since is showing reluctance it seems he is afraid of being factchecked by us Koreans.

During the Eisenhower’s deployment near Yemen, I expected it to be destroyed.

This is a good plan on every level.

Apart from giving America more freedom to bomb someone (think Iraq after 9/11), the carrier will be scrapped soon and that is an expensive action that nobody really knows how to manage.

It is better to make it Yemen’s problem.

But nothing happened.

Their defenses are excellent.

A more accurate statement would be nothing happened that sank the ship.

“By some accounts, an ASBM or other missile arrived at a very shallow trajectory, with minimal warning, without a chance for interception, and splashing down around 200 meters from the Eisenhower. Details gathered from interviews with Yemen-focused U.S. and U.K. intelligence officers for this study. Names of interviewees, and dates and places of interviews withheld at interviewees’ request.”

It looks like something made it through defenses but simply missed.

“Ackchully, ” he said pushing up his thick glasses which caused a minor shower of dandruff to fall from around his ears, “I’m going to need a source for that.”

https://ctc.westpoint.edu/a-draw-is-a-win-the-houthis-after-one-year-of-war/

But the problem still remains.

We gotta get rid of the Eisenhower.
