K-Trumpers upset at the bad press for Boeing, set fire to an Airbus?

What will be CH’s theory on this story?

Tail is usually where the auxiliary power unit is. Maybe that caught on fire.

“There was a crackling sound from a luggage rack at the back of the plane and then, smoke emerged,” a passenger told Yonhap News Agency. “The smoke grew thicker and flames dropped from the rack as a flight attendant was bringing a fire extinguisher there.”

Something in the luggage?

Lithium Ion batteries bad in cars, bad in luggage.

“There was a crackling sound from a luggage rack at the back of the plane and then, smoke emerged,”

No conspiracy theory needed.

Clearly, there was a stowaway crackhead hitting the crack pipe.

Probably a minority.

Flyingsword,

The new CEO of Boeing appears to recognize the problems, have a good grasp of priorities, and a plan to manage out the insanity and empower success.

With Trump’s inspirational leadership influencing corporate culture, we will likely see shamefullness in unfocused corporate self-destruction while success in product and profit becomes fashionable again.

Possible Lithium-ion battery fire in overhead carryon. Looks similar to an ATA DC-10-40 fire that occurred on the handstand at ORD in the 80’s involving a mishandled oxygen generator. There have been multiple cabin fire accidents over the years, the thinking behind allowing lithium ion batteries in carryons while restricting them in checked baggage is that the fire can be observed and handled, only lithium battery fires aren’t that easy to deal with. No duck dna in the engine on this accident.
