This is the logical extension of central planning.
Unfinished tofu-dreg buildings, roads, and infrastructure. Massive fraud and corruption because no one can complain about the government and live.
And it will only get worse when the effects of the tariffs can’t be hidden by currency manipulation.

It must hurt Trump’s ego that he has to suck it up and stay quiet when the media says he blinked and backed down when he makes any sort of tariff concessions.
Then when the real plan that he can’t talk about now succeeds, it will all be an accident.
