Ganghwa-do, at Sondolmok and Yongdu forts which were designed to keep Christians and other undesirable foreign drops of ink out of the Han estuary.
Too bad they failed in that mighty Corean endeavor.
Yes this fort is more widely known as Gwangseongbo Fortress on Gangwha Island and was scene of a battle between US Marines and Korean soldiers in 1871.
Man – Mark is quick. I'd never flown over it so it didn't look familiar right off the bat. I did find it, too late though, before I looked here.
