I like how the parking attendant is supposedly hospitalized after being pushed to the ground. I an sure some settlement money will help him quickly heal which is what this USFK employee should be quickly putting together to resolve this incident:

South Korean authorities are investigating a U.S. Forces Korea civilian employee accused of assaulting a Seoul parking lot attendant over the weekend.
Police were called out to a disturbance at the Hongdae Street lot on Saturday evening and witnessed the altercation, a Mapo District Police Station official told Stars and Stripes by phone on Thursday. He spoke on condition of anonymity due to the ongoing investigation.
Video footage obtained by South Korea’s MBC News shows a man pushing the uniformed parking attendant while tripping his leg. The attendant was injured and hospitalized, according to police.
The USFK employee, whom South Korean police are not identifying due to privacy laws, was not intoxicated when officers arrived, the police official said.
You can read more at the link, but I also found it interesting that an activist group was protesting at the U.S. embassy over this. Talk about not having a life.
Here is the latest on the sex doll controversy in South Korea:
Police began to crack down on any illegal acts committed by owners of sex doll experience shops or cafes, Monday, amid growing concerns from many parents that such facilities near schools will have a bad influence on their children.
The National Police Agency said that police officers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province will carry out the crackdown jointly with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, as well as local governments, until the end of next month.
Their crackdown will focus on any illegalities involving those shops’ online and offline ads.
I have no idea if Yoon’s mother-in-law is guilty of these accusations, but why did it take six years and when Yoon’s may be seeking the presidency for these charges to happen? I think this is arguably payback on Yoon for going after the corruption surrounding the former Justice Minister Cho Kuk and his family:

A team of state prosecutors requested Monday that a local court sentence the mother-in-law of Yoon Seok-youl, a former top prosecutor, to three years in jail.
The 74-year-old, identified only by her surname Choi, is accused of violating the Medical Service Act in connection with her involvement in a nursing facility.
She illegally received about 2.29 billion won (US$20 million) from the National Health Insurance Service while running the nursing hospital in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, from 2013-2015 along with three business partners, according to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office.
It seemed like with all the negative publicity it was only a matter of time before this happened:
Belgium will bring home its ambassador to South Korea amid public anger over his wife’s alleged assault of two employees at a shop in Seoul.
The Belgium Embassy said the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sophie Wilmès, decided it was in the best interest of bilateral relations to end Ambassador Peter Lescouhier’s tenure this summer.
He has been the envoy in Seoul for three years. The embassy didn’t provide a specific date on when Lescouhier’s term will end or name a replacement.
While Lescouhier served his country with dedication, “the current situation doesn’t allow him to further carry out his role in a serene way,” the embassy said on Monday.
You can read more at the link, but her diplomatic immunity has also been partially waived. She can be investigated by the Korean police, but not tried or punishment.
This blurred surveillance footage, obtained by Yonhap News TV from the victim’s family on April 20, 2021, shows the scene of an incident in which the wife of Belgian Ambassador Peter Lescouhier allegedly assaulted two employees at a local clothing store. (Yonhap)
Having been probed over assault allegations, the wife of Belgian Ambassador to South Korea Peter Lescouhier will avoid assault charges due to diplomatic immunity.
The spouse faced police questioning on May 6 over allegations that she slapped a clothing store employee in the face and another staff in the back of her head early last month.
You can read more at the link, but I suspect that the ambassador will likely be removed by Belgium and replaced with someone else since his wife is now persona non-grata in South Korea.
I don’t like the corrupt Cho Kuk either, but this lawsuit seems pretty frivolous to me:
Former Justice Minister Cho Kuk was sued Tuesday by 1,618 individuals for inflicting what the plaintiffs have called psychological damages “caused by Cho’s lies and illegal activities.”
In the class-action lawsuit, filed at the Seoul Central District Court, the plaintiffs demand compensation of 1 million won ($900) per person from Cho, claiming that his actions caused them “depression, hair loss, insomnia, rage-related disorders, suicidal tendencies and anger management issues.”
Lawyer Kim So-yeon, a member of the opposition People Power Party (PPP) who represents the plaintiffs, asked people in September to join the lawsuit through a link on her Facebook page where she wrote, “I am pursuing a class-action lawsuit due to requests from many people who have suffered extreme stress and even developed illnesses due to Cho’s numerous lies regarding his private equity fund, his daughter’s academic fraud and his son’s university admission.”
This group was pretty bold openly selling and using drugs at this bar in Mokpo:
Foreign nationals arrested while using drugs at a bar await questioning at Mokpo Coast Guard building in Mokpo, Friday. Yonhap
Over 30 foreign nationals have been arrested in the southwestern port of Mokpo for using methamphetamine during a drug-fueled party at a bar, according to local police, Friday.
The Mokpo Coast Guard said it raided the pub exclusively for foreigners at 2 a.m., Wednesday, and apprehend 34 foreign nationals ― 24 men and 10 women. It has sought arrest warrants for eight including a 29-year-old Vietnamese national for dealing in narcotics.
The police deployed a special unit to seize a key suspect allegedly known to be the mastermind of a drug ring in South Jeolla Province. A considerable amount of methamphetamines were found during the raid.
Her is the latest on the Belgian Ambassador’s wife slapping an employee who mistakenly thought she was shoplifting:
The photo on the right shows the face of the apparel store employee, who was allegedly assaulted by the wife of Belgian Ambassador to Seoul Peter Lescouhier. Yonhap
Belgian Ambassador to Seoul Peter Lescouhier apologized Thursday over an assault incident involving his wife, promising to cooperate with an ongoing police probe as soon as his wife recovers from an illness.
Police have been looking into allegations that Lescouhier’s wife slapped an apparel store employee in the face and another employee in the back of her head early this month. The employees had asked the wife if she paid for the clothes she was wearing at the time because the shop was selling the same apparel.
You can read more at the link, but the picture shows that she slapped the employee pretty hard. Additionally according to the article the ambassador’s wife had a stroke last week.
Via a reader tip comes news that an Air Force two-star general is being court martialed for sexual assault:
U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. William T. Cooley USAF
A US Air Force two-star general is facing court-martial in a first for the Air Force, the service said Wednesday.
A sexual assault charge against Air Force Maj. Gen. William Cooley, former commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory, has been referred to court-martial, Air Force Materiel Command said in a statement.
“After a comprehensive review of all of the evidence from the investigation and the Article 32 preliminary hearing, I’ve informed Maj. Gen. Cooley of my decision to move his case to general court-martial,” Gen. Arnold Bunch, the AFMC commander, said.
The corporal that was stabbed said he was too drunk to remember much from the stabbing. Fortunately for him the police have video evidence that shows the getaway car with a good look at the license plate:
This screenshot from a Channel A News broadcast shows closed-circuit TV footage of suspects fleeing the scene after a U.S. soldier was stabbed at a bar near Camp Humphreys, South Korea, April 17, 2021.
A soldier assigned to this Army installation south of Seoul was in stable condition Wednesday after being stabbed in the stomach while drinking at an off-base bar over the weekend, according to local police. (……)
Closed-circuit TV at the bar captured four suspects, two Koreans and two foreigners, fleeing the scene in two cars, nearly colliding with traffic as they made a quick getaway, according to the detective.
